Virginia Satir taught that when we grow up with the inability to level, one of our coping stances is blaming. Boy is it a sneaky one.
I mean of course how can I do X when he/she does Y?
If only...the government were different...my boss were different...my husband/wife...then I could...(FILL IN THE BLANK)
We all have done it. I certainly have. But the biggest problem with it is our own personal power is lost completely.
If we buy into the concept of cause and effect (I'm this way because of that over there) then we are prisoners of that thing over there. We open the cage, step right in and lock the door behind us and hand the key to that thing over there.
That is no way to live. That will automatically make you feel weak and insecure and then you actually believe you are stuck. Your creativity shuts down and you adapt to your little world with limited options.
Satir was right when she taught the blaming stance and how when you actually truly level with yourself, face your own faults with total self acceptance, you become something different.
You become unstoppable, capable of anything. Your creative mind begins to dream up new paths and you rise up.
We are all flawed...including you. Find a way to feel safe with that truth. That is the first step toward power and greatness.
You are capable of so much! ππ₯
