Summer Sensory Wednesday was dino-mite! 🦖

From digging through dinosaur sensory bins and exploring kinetic sand to smashing icy dinosaur eggs and making bubbly discoveries, our kiddos had a blast engaging their senses through play!

We wrapped up the fun with water play and a giant dinosaur sprinkler that kept everyone cool and smiling. Sensory experiences like these encourage creativity, exploration, and lots of fun! 🦕🫧

Reinforcement vs. Bribery:

In ABA therapy, reinforcement is a planned strategy used to encourage positive behaviors and build meaningful skills over time. It helps children learn, grow, and succeed by rewarding desired behaviors after they occur.

Bribery, is often offered in the moment to stop a behavior and can unintentionally reinforce the behavior we’re trying to reduce.

Understanding the difference helps us create learning opportunities that are effective, purposeful, and supportive of long-term growth. 💙🧩

Tumble Club was a success! 🤸‍♀️✨

We had so much fun jumping, climbing, tumbling, and making memories with friends. It was a great opportunity to practice social skills, build confidence, stay active, and most importantly have fun!

Summer Sensory Wednesday was all about summer fun and hands-on exploration. 🐠☀️

We enjoyed so many different sensory stations, all including sea creature toys—water play, shaving cream, kinetic sand, and jello with crushed Cheerios.

June Balance Spotlight: Andrea! ⭐️

Andrea has always known she wanted to work with children and says she truly feels she was meant to do this work. She earned her Associate of Arts degree and originally planned to become a teacher before discovering her passion for ABA.

As an RBT, Andrea brings patience, positivity, and genuine care to the children and families she serves each day. She says working with kids is her dream job, and that passion shines through in everything she does.

We are incredibly grateful to have Andrea on the Balance team and appreciate the difference she makes every day. Thank you, Andrea, for helping create meaningful change through connection. 💙
