Optimize with Philip Levi Remote coaching for athletes who refuse to age passively. We no longer need to hunt for food when we can push a few buttons and have it delivered.

We live solitary lives and express ourselves in 144 characters or less. Conversation is down and depression is up. Comfort is a commodity that is slowly numbing us out with each swipe. We’re overweight and understimulated. Peddled pills then Netflix and chill. While we sit more and move less the “achievement” of when we can rest next is normalized. While we buy more stuff we are hungry for meaningful connection. We live in pain and the solution is more drugs, more therapy and more side effects. Everyone has a condition now (ask your doctor about Lunesta.) So what the hell is going on? Is this normal? I don’t think so and I believe that we can do better. In the pursuit of betterment we are launching Optimize. Optimize is a platform for people who believe that there is more to life. They want to feel good in their body and move without pain. They want to fight depression and build connection. Optimize is for those who want to seize the day. Maybe you have a shoulder thing or a hip thing going on. Maybe you want to learn how to breathe more efficiently or just want to feel better in your own skin. If you’re fine on your path and think that the way that you’re aging is just the way it goes then I celebrate you and your decision. But if you want to reclaim what it means to be a vibrant, glowing, running, jumping human being then maybe Optimize is for you. You can join our Facebook group and details about the free version of the app will be out following this. It’s important to me that we use the time that we’re given to the fullest. I sincerely thank you for taking the time to read this.

What a refined pattern looks like

Same lift. One coaching cue. A completely different movement.

The difference between these two hinges isn’t strength. It’s pattern. Once the pattern is clean, strength finally has somewhere to go.

This is the unglamorous work most people skip — and it’s the work that actually changes how you move.

You can’t out-train bad sleep.

Recovery isn’t what happens between workouts. It’s part of the workout. Seven to nine hours is when the adaptation you trained for actually gets built.

If sleep is the first thing you cut when life gets busy, make it the last.

No app. No scale. No logging every bite.

Palm of protein. Half the plate in plants. Cupped hand of carbs. Thumb of fat.

Your hand is proportional to your body, and it goes everywhere you go — your kitchen, a restaurant, a hotel on the other side of the world. It’s not precise to the gram. It doesn’t need to be.

Run it for three weeks. Then adjust one lever at a time.

Strong. Steady. Done.

This isn’t a vacation post. This is the point.

Outdoors is one of the six pillars of the Human Movement Project. Sunlight, natural ground, air that hasn’t been recycled through a building. Time outside shapes your sleep, your mood, and your daily rhythm.

Your body was built for this long before it was built for a squat rack. Get outside this week, even for ten minutes.

Every session opens the same way.

Before any load goes on the bar, we move through the Spider Complex — hips, shoulders, and spine in one flowing sequence.

It isn’t the warm-up you skip when you’re short on time. It’s the signal to your nervous system that training has started. Skip it, and everything after costs more. Own it, and everything after gets easier.

Debunking the Carbs-After-6pm Myth

We take on one of the most repeated nutrition myths — that eating carbohydrates after 6pm causes fat gain — and explain what actually drives body composition change: total intake over time, not the clock.

Active Recovery Is Still Training

We explain what an active recovery day actually looks like inside the Human Movement Project — mobility, breathwork, an easy carry or walk — and why it’s never labeled “rest” on the calendar. Recovery with intent keeps the body moving without adding fatigue.

A Program Built for a Full Life

We talk about how athlete, parent, and competitor don’t have to compete for the same twenty-four hours. The Human Movement Project is built around real life, not around ignoring it.

Eat to Last: The Philosophy

We introduce “Eat to Last,” the nutrition philosophy behind the free guide — five principles instead of a rigid plan, built to hold up once real life happens. Link in bio for the full guide.

The Model You’re Setting

We talk about how showing up to train — consistently, not obsessively — teaches children something no conversation can. Training strong for life means being strong for the people watching.
