Please give a warm round of applause for our new Board Chair, Wannetta Mallette đź‘Ź đź‘Ź đź‘Ź
Wannetta, PTP currently serves as the lead administrator of the Burlington-Graham Metropolitan Planning Organization (BGMPO) and is responsible for leading, planning and directing the operations of the MPO. She has over twenty years of experience working in various capacities as a transportation planner for both the private and public sectors. She developed a Transportation Social Impact Assessment that serves as a national model and is considered a Subject Matter Expert by the Environmental Protection Agency. Her passion is bringing community perspectives and an equity lens to the world of transportation. Born in Charleston, SC, Wannetta completed her Bachelor of Science at the University of South Carolina and has a Master of Arts Degree from Webster University with additional graduate studies at the Citadel.
She is the perfect person to step into this role, and we are excited for what’s to come!
We also need to say a huge THANK YOU to for your years of dedication and hard work as our previous board chair. You have been instrumental in Healthy Alamance’s work and have laid a wonderful foundation for Wannetta to step into!
