Men get breast cancer too. Rare does not mean impossible.

During Men’s Breast Cancer Awareness Week, October 17–23, let’s make sure the men in our lives know the signs:

• A lump or swelling in the breast
• Ni**le discharge or a ni**le pulling inward
• Skin dimpling, darkening, thickening or flaking

Age, family history and inherited gene changes can increase risk.

Notice a change? Get it checked—even if it doesn’t hurt. These signs are not always cancer, but they deserve medical attention.

No lump does not always mean no breast cancer. 💗

Lobular breast cancer may cause a thickened area, a change in breast shape or size, or changes to the ni**le or skin. It can also be harder to see on a mammogram.

Notice a new or persistent change? Speak with your doctor—even after a normal mammogram.

Metastatic breast cancer—also called Stage 4 breast cancer—means the cancer has spread beyond the breast to another part of the body.

It can happen even after early detection and treatment. It is never the patient’s fault. Although treatment can help control the disease and extend lives, more research and fair access to quality care are urgently needed.

Today, let us listen to patients, support them and their families, advocate for better care and fund lifesaving research.
