June is National Oral Health Month!
It’s the perfect time to check in on your smile and make your oral health a priority.

Many people wonder how often dental visits are really needed—and the answer might surprise you! The American Dental Association recommends seeing a dentist twice a year to keep your smile healthy and catch problems early.

✨ Why it matters:
✔️ Catch issues like cavities, gum disease, or oral cancer early
✔️ Get professional cleanings to remove plaque and tartar
✔️ Receive personalized tips to improve your oral health
Regular visits aren’t just about fixing problems—they’re about preventing them before they start.

💡 Did you know?
You can schedule an appointment once a year with Loup Basin Public Health Department for limited, preventive dental services right in our office!
➡️ These services support your oral health, but they don’t replace a full dental exam—so be sure to still see a dentist at least once a year.

📅 Celebrate National Oral Health Month by taking a step toward a healthier smile!

The CDC and state health departments, including Nebraska DHHS, are alerting healthcare facilities nationwide about reports of visible contamination found in certain ICU Medical IV tubing products distributed by Medline.

The concern began after healthcare facilities in Maine and Pennsylvania identified small black specks or particulate matter inside IV drip chambers and tubing sets. Since then, additional states and healthcare partners have been notified as investigations continue.

At this time, the CDC reports that no patient infections or adverse events have been linked to the affected products. However, healthcare facilities are being advised to carefully inspect IV tubing supplies before use and immediately remove any products showing visible abnormalities.

Nebraska DHHS and healthcare infection prevention partners are encouraging providers to remain vigilant, follow standard inspection procedures, and report any concerns through appropriate reporting channels, including FDA MedWatch.
Patient safety remains the top priority while the CDC, FDA, and ICU Medical continue their investigation.
