We also offer online ordering of contact lenses, and virtual try-on of eyeglasses. The mission of our practice is to provide the best attainable medical and surgical care for our patients. Our practice was established in 1966. The sub-specialty of Pediatric Ophthalmology is a young one, and Pittsburgh was one of the first cities in the U.S.A. to have an office exclusively dedicated to the care of

eye problems in children. Our physicians are experienced with the management of all eye problems arising in childhood, the management of strabismus in adults, and our most recent addition of Vision Therapy. Our offices are staffed with more than 20 assistants who have received special training to provide you with the best possible ophthalmologic care. In the Operating Room, we are assisted by experienced O.R. personnel that have worked with each of us for many years.

We are humbled by how many families are interested in helping fight for Medicaid reform in Pennsylvania! Here is the URL for our petition, now available online:

You may also call the 1-800 customer service phone number on the back of your insurance card. Your insurance network is allowed to negotiate with us directly, there are no laws requiring them to wait for Medicaid reform. They have the power to play a large part in the solution, if they choose to.

Thank you for a wonderful 30 years! We first opened our Washington location in October 1994. We are still here to care for you in our Cranberry Twp., and Murrysville office locations!

As we've shared, the decision to close our Washington office was a last resort to keep our business open. Sadly, pediatric exam rates in the State have been frozen for over 20 years now. This makes it extremely hard for any medical facility to remain open.

We will continue to share contact information for State Senators, Representatives, the Governor's office, and Insurance companies for families to contact and express their concerns.

Thank you to the 1,000 families who have already signed our petition asking those people in charge to address pediatric healthcare reform! Our hope is to continue serving the community for another 30+ years!
