One of the biggest misconceptions I hear about is, “Isn’t that only for people who are sick?”

No—and I think that’s important to talk about.

As an RN and Certified International EBOO Trainer, I’ve worked with and trained practitioners in this therapy, and the people interested in EBOO are not all chronic illness patients.

Athletes and otherwise healthy, active people also seek EBOO as part of their routines, with goals that may include recovery, healthy aging, and what many people refer to as or support.

EBOO stands for Extracorporeal Blood Oxygenation and Ozonation. During treatment, blood continuously circulates through a closed extracorporeal system, where it goes through a controlled oxygen/ozone process and filtration before returning to the body.

But here’s what matters most to me:

EBOO is not a “one-size-fits-all” treatment.

Proper screening, labs, G6PD status, anticoagulation, equipment, technique, and continuous patient assessment all matter. As a trainer, I teach practitioners that knowing why you are doing something is just as important as knowing the steps.

At Salt & Light, I will always put education and patient safety before selling a treatment.

First, I just want to say thank you.

Farren is certainly no stranger to Salt & Light. She has been a valuable member of our team for over a year, caring for our clients and becoming an important part of the Salt & Light family.

As a Bachelor-prepared Registered Nurse and Holistic Practitioner, Farren brings together her nursing knowledge with a passion for whole-person wellness.
