There is a misconception that only if you workout should you drink EAAS, and that is completely incorrect đź’•
BCAAs & EAAs — and why they MUST work together for fat loss, muscle, and metabolism.
Today we’re clearing up one of the biggest nutrition misunderstandings I see:
People think BCAAs build muscle… but they don’t — they only start the process.
Here’s why…
There are 20 amino acids in the body.
9 of them are essential — meaning your body cannot make them and you must get them from food or fuelings.
Out of those 9 essential amino acids, 3 are BCAAs:
• Leucine
• Isoleucine
• Valine
These three are powerful because they act like a switch.
They tell your body:
“Hey — go into repair mode. Protect muscle. Start building.”
That’s their job.
But here’s the truth most people miss…
You cannot build or protect muscle with a signal alone.
That’s where EAAs (Essential Amino Acids) come in.
EAAs are the actual building blocks of protein.
They are the materials your body uses to repair muscle, preserve lean mass, and keep your metabolism strong.
Think of it this way:
• BCAAs = the signal
• EAAs = the supplies
Having BCAAs without EAAs is like telling a construction crew to start building…
but you didn’t bring any bricks, lumber, or tools.
The work cannot happen.
Leucine (a BCAA) flips the “on” switch —
but without all 9 essential amino acids, nothing can be built.
This is why nature always packages them together.
Foods like eggs, steak, and whey protein are called complete proteins because they contain all nine essential amino acids — both the signal and the supplies.
That’s also why, if you ever look at products outside of my program, you should always check the label.
If all nine EAAs aren’t there, it’s incomplete — and your body can’t fully use it. And if there’s less than 2500 mc of leucine it’s not enough (ours have 3500).
And this matters for fat loss more than most people realize.
When your body doesn’t get enough essential amino acids, it will look for another source…
and that source is often your own muscle tissue.
Muscle loss =
Slower metabolism
Less fat burning
Plateaus
Weight regain
This is exactly why my program is built the way it is.
Our fuelings, EAAs, and Active Whey provide a complete amino acid profile so your body gets:
The signal
The supplies
The protection
Key takeaway:
You must consume essential amino acids to live and build muscle
BCAAs turn on repair
EAAs do the building
Together they protect your metabolism
You can’t build muscle with just a signal.
You can’t protect your metabolism without the right materials.
EAAs + BCAAs working together = metabolic reset success.
I have been drinking them every day for the past 3 years and I can definitely tell if I miss a day. My body craves them. AND my bone density numbers are IMPROVING!
We should ALL be drinking them at least once a day, regardless of our activity level.
Do you drink aminos every day??
