Greene County Mental Health’s service delivery follows the “best practice” model for the provision of services for individuals and families struggling with mental health issues and substance abuse. There is clear evidence to support the fact that experiences of discrimination lead to many stress-related emotional, physiologic, and behavioral changes. Such stress evokes emotional responses such as distress, sadness, and anger, to name a few. These reactions, as well as the behaviors that they can lead to, can ultimately harm one’s health. Because of this, Greene County Mental Health sees it as our responsibility to address these issues when they impact our clients or our staff.
