🪐PLANETARIUM SOUND BATH 🪐

October 9 Catherine will be back at the Grand Rapids Public Museum planetarium for a sound bath like no other! ✨

This unique, immersive experience includes a custom visual experience on the 50-foot domed ceiling of the planetarium. Throughout, Catherine will fill the space with sound from meditative instruments. 🌎

The purpose of a sound bath is relaxation; the sound waves affect the smallest structures of the body and help to rebalance and recalibrate all systems in the body. 🧠

This is the 3rd year we’ve offered sound baths at the planetarium and nearly every one has sold out. We recommend saving your spot soon! 💚

🧘🏽‍♀️GENTLE YOGA + SOUND BATH ✨

Join Karen FRIDAY NIGHT (8/14 at 7p) for a class blending meditative sound instruments and gentle yoga to help all participants relax. 😴

Class will begin with a short, gentle yoga practice accessible to all abilities and levels, including beginners. 🧘

After a gentle stretch, participants will settle into a relaxed position and enjoy the meditative instruments of a sound bath to assist in finding peaceful rejuvenation. 🌊

If you’re looking for an opportunity to connect with yourself & others in a wellness conscious way, our November retreat may be for you! 🥰

It’s already half full of people who are warm, welcoming, and kind - the vibe of Yoga Zen! Our retreat is in Watervliet, MI the weekend of November 6-8, 2026. 💚

We have 2 private rooms and several communal sleeping spaces still available. The weekend is hosted by Catherine, Darcie, Gretchen, and Ashley from the Yoga Zen team. 🙌🏻

💚WELCOME BACK: KELLY💚

Kelly is BACK teaching at Yoga Zen after a short hiatus and we hope you can make it to either of her classes on Tuesdays:

🧘🏽‍♀️9a Vinyasa: A flow-based class linking breath to movement to create a meditative experience.

🪑1p $5 Chair Yoga: A gentle form of yoga that’s done while seated or using the chair for balance.

Kelly is an engaging and energetic teacher who loves moving the body in many different ways. She strives to create an inclusive and enriching experience in class that will benefit students both on and off of the mat. 🙌🏻

🪷FRIDAY SOUND BATH🪷

Join Catherine, Friday 7/31 at 7p, for a relaxing experience: a class blending sound and yoga nidra (“sleep” in Sanskrit). 😴

This 60-minute offering includes an immersion of sound with a guided relaxation meditation for an experience that will leave you feeling balanced, relaxed, and rejuvenated. 🙌🏻

Appropriate for all, this class doesn’t require any movement. Dress in comfy clothes and bring any pillows, blankets, or other relaxation aids. 🛌

💚 SUCCESS STORY: TEACHER TRAINING 🧘🏽‍♀️

One of our recent yoga teacher training graduates, Casey, owns Cloudscape Hill Lavender Farm. 💜

Recently she partnered with the Barry County Commission on Aging to offer a Chair Yoga class on the farm. It went so well she’s exploring ways to continue this offering in the future. 🙌🏻

We’re proud of our YTT graduates for offering yoga in unique ways to serve all ages of yoga practitioners. Yoga is for everybody! 🪷

Congrats Casey! This is our hiatus year for teacher training (we offer it every other year) but if you’re interested in joining us in the future, we’ll begin again in September 2027. 🫶
