Happy Memorial Day šŗšø
Memorial Day and the 8 limbs actually weave together beautifully because both ask us to remember something bigger than ourselves: sacrifice, service, connection, and presence.
Ahimsa asks us to practice peace.
Satya asks us to live truthfully.
Aparigraha reminds us not to take freedom, time, or connection for granted.
Santosha invites gratitude for the lives we get to live because of the sacrifices made before us.
Todayās practice can be movement.
It can be stillness.
It can be gathering with family, taking a deep breath outside, placing your hand on your heart, or simply slowing down long enough to remember.
Yoga is remembrance, too.
Remembering what grounds us.
Remembering our connection to one another.
Remembering that every breath is a privilege.
With gratitude this Memorial Day.
