Providers, we are NOT the moral arbiters of health. It is not our job, gift, or calling to “fix” another person. We cannot control someone else’s body, emotional response, or life. We shouldn’t bear that kind of responsibility, or expect that from ourselves and each other.
It’s time to redefine our relationships with our patients and with our practices. We know social support is one of the biggest factors in healing. That means, healing happens in community. Our job is to **see** the people who come to us, ask questions, **listen** to the experiences they share, and **offer** the tools and resources at our disposal.
Our upcoming level one course will teach you a new language for understanding the embodied human experience, the people who come to you for help, AND help you better navigate your own body’s responses to engaging in this work.
