Some of the most meaningful advances in precision oncology begin with a simple question: What are we still missing?
After three years of collaboration, the Eurostars-funded Genomic Noise Cancelling (GNC) consortium has completed its research project, exploring how computational approaches can help distinguish clinically meaningful molecular signals from the background complexity of cancer biology.
The project combined advanced bioinformatics, computational reasoning, and clinical expertise to improve how complex molecular profiling results are interpreted. By reducing irrelevant findings while preserving biologically meaningful information, this work has the potential to reveal treatment opportunities that might otherwise be overlooked.
While the project has now concluded, its impact continues. The knowledge, technology, and collaborations established through GNC are already helping shape the next generation of precision oncology tools and supporting more informed treatment decisions for cancer patients.
