I NEVER want my clients to simply memorize a list of “kidney-friendly” foods.

I want them to understand WHY.

Why this recommendation?
Why this portion?
Why this restriction?

Because the goal isn’t to blindly follow a renal diet.

It’s to understand your kidney health well enough to make confident decisions for yourself.

This is why I believe there is no one-size-fits-all approach to CKD nutrition.

Because without understanding the ”why”behind your eGFR and creatinine trends, it‘s really hard to know what to focus on.

And unfortunately, that’s where many people get stuck.

They follow generalized food rules, keep restricting more foods, and still don‘t see the improvements they’re hoping for.

Want to learn the framework I use with clients to help uncover what may actually be driving kidney disease progression?

For 30+ years, Jose was living with CKD and doing what most people are told to do:

👉🏼following “renal diet rules” from different sources

👉🏼and hoping it would be enough to stabilize his labs.

But nothing ever really made sense.

Different doctors, different advice, different restrictions…

🤷🏻‍♀️and still no clear understanding of why his kidney function wasn’t improving.

By the time we started working together, his GFR was 44.

What stood out most wasn’t just nutrition changes, it was finally giving him clarity.

We went through his labs step by step, understood what was driving his numbers, and translated that into a simple, individualized eating pattern.

Within weeks, his labs started to shift in a way he hadn’t seen in decades.

His GFR improved from 44 → 63 in 3 weeks, and then to 80 about a month later.

What I want you to take away isn’t just the numbers.

It’s the pattern.

Most people with CKD aren’t failing because they’re not trying hard enough.

They’re stuck following generalized advice that was never designed for their individual labs or lifestyle.

When you understand what your labs are actually telling you, and how to translate that into real food decisions…

✅that’s when things start to click.

Still not seeing any change in your kidney labs?

This might be tough to hear 👇🏼

…but it’s time to stop convincing yourself you’re on the right track…

…and start looking at what you’re actually doing. 👇🏼

Let’s start by ditching that outdated “foods to avoid” handout you got for CKD.

⭐ The truth?

Many of those lists, even ones from doctor’s offices, are outdated and far too restrictive.

Here’s what you need to know:

With CKD, very few foods are truly off limits.
(Star fruit is one exception. Always a no.)

In fact, many foods you’ve been told to avoid, like fruits, vegetables, and beans 🫘, can actually support kidney health.

🌱 They’re naturally low in sodium, alkaline forming, and packed with antioxidants.

But here’s the catch…

❌ If you keep Googling or relying on generic advice, you may be doing more harm than good.

Restrictive diets and misinformation can leave you confused, undernourished, and struggling to manage your kidney health.

👩🏻‍⚕️ As a renal dietitian with 9 years of experience, I’m here to help you feel confident about your food choices

☀️ with a balanced, evidence based approach that actually works.

Doing everything the internet says about kidney disease is exactly where Gary was.

He cut out red meat.
Started drinking more water.
Tried to “eat healthier.”

But his eGFR didn’t move.

Because the real drivers of his kidney disease progression were never addressed👇🏼

❌ uncontrolled blood pressure
❌ low potassium intake
❌ low fiber intake
❌ incorrect portions of animal protein

Inside my Kidney Strong Method, we stopped guessing and focused on what was actually impacting his labs and kidney function.

Once we corrected those key areas:

📉 blood pressure improved
📈 energy improved
📈 nutrition became sustainable
📈 eGFR increased from 49 → 55 in 3 months

Most people with CKD are not doing “too little”…
they’re focusing on the wrong things.

Kidney nutrition isn’t about randomly removing foods.

It’s about:
✔️ understanding what’s driving progression
✔️ reading YOUR labs correctly
✔️ building a sustainable plan for long-term kidney health

I currently have 4 spots left inside my Kidney Strong Method coaching program.

Comment “KIDNEY” if you want to see if it’s a fit.
