At our Oncology Town Hall, Daad, living with metastatic colorectal cancer (mCRC), sat down with Michael Sapienza, CEO of the Colorectal Cancer Alliance, and Rushi Potdar, Chief Medical Officer, Global Oncology at Takeda, to discuss the growing impact of CRC on patients and families.
Their conversation highlighted the essential role of advocacy groups in helping to address the physical and emotional burdens of managing their disease, especially given that 79% of mCRC patients report feeling alone in their experience, as reported by the 2024 Harris Poll Survey. The discussion highlighted the value of engaging these groups early and keeping the patient perspective at the forefront for providers, industry, and policymakers, especially as we work to bring innovative treatments to patients more quickly.
