Please don’t fall into a trap of believing conspiracy theories related to Pfizer’s new Lyme vaccine. Many of our community participated in the phase III study to test the effectiveness of this vaccine. It has a roughly 70% efficacy in preventing Lyme disease. Also, spoiler alert, Lyme disease is not a bio-weapon created in a lab. This was debunked long ago…read this article fully. “Influencers” do not necessarily have your best health interests in mind.

Next week is Naturopathic Medicine Week and across the United States and Canada, naturopathic doctors and their patients will be celebrating a form of healthcare that's been quietly transforming lives.
Maybe you've heard of naturopathic medicine but aren't quite sure what it means. Maybe you're curious whether it could help you. Either way, we're glad you're here because that's exactly what this week is for.

More research on vitamin D supporting health…this time for irritable bowel. Note that the gastroenterologist quoted recommended folks with IBD get their vitamin D levels to 50 ng/dl. What’s your D at?

Vitamin D supplementation is linked to less disease activity and inflammation in inflammatory bowel disease and may restore healthy interactions between the immune system and the gut.

A coalition of medical groups had opposed the rule changes, which were approved by lawmakers and Gov. Janet Mills.

It’s about time more research is highlighted on optimal levels of vitamins, like this one on B12. Naturopathic doctors have helped patients achieve optimal levels of nutrients since inception. B12, Vitamin D, Magnesium, folic acid, and many other nutrients are commonly low in many patient populations. Sub-optimal levels can significantly affect our body’s ability to function, and chronically sub-optimal levels can lead to chronic disease and accelerated aging.

New data about the ill effects of low B12 levels underscores the urgency of screening and intervention.
