💊 Medication Monday: Missed a Dose?

It happens! You get busy, your routine changes, and suddenly you realize… I forgot to take my medicine. 😬

Before you automatically take an extra dose, check first.

What you should do after a missed dose can depend on the medication and how much time has passed. Taking two doses too close together may increase the chance of unwanted side effects.

✅ Check the instructions on your medication
✅ Follow any missed-dose directions provided
✅ If you’re unsure, ask your pharmacist before taking an extra dose

Meet Morgan!

This week, we’re excited to introduce another member of the Camden Drug family—Morgan, our Relief Pharmacist!

Morgan is from Parkers Chapel and has been working in pharmacy since 2020. She joined the Camden Drug crew in 2026, and one of her favorite parts of being here is getting to work alongside our team and visit with all of our wonderful customers.

One area Morgan especially enjoys is helping customers with over-the-counter medications and questions. Whether you’re trying to decide which product may be right for you or simply have a question, she’s always happy to help!

When was the last time you checked your blood pressure?

High blood pressure often has no noticeable symptoms, which is why knowing your numbers can be such an important part of taking care of your health.

Remember:

❤️ Top number = Systolic — the pressure when your heart beats
❤️ Bottom number = Diastolic — the pressure when your heart rests between beats

Your ideal blood pressure can depend on your individual health, medications, and other factors, so talk with your healthcare provider about what numbers are right for you.

💚 Tip Tuesday: Take Your Time!

Ever stand up too quickly and suddenly feel a little dizzy or lightheaded? 😵‍💫

Sometimes, moving quickly from lying or sitting to standing can cause your blood pressure to temporarily drop.

A simple tip: take your time.

✔️ Sit up first
✔️ Pause for a moment
✔️ Stand slowly
✔️ Make sure you feel steady before you start walking

This can be especially important for older adults and for people taking certain medications.

If dizziness happens frequently, don’t just brush it off. Talk with your healthcare provider—and remember, your Camden Drug pharmacist is always happy to review your medications and answer questions. 💊💚

Ever looked at a tablet and thought, “Can I just cut this in half?” ✂️

The answer is… it depends!

Not every medication is designed to be split, crushed, or chewed. Some tablets have special coatings, while others are made to release medication slowly over time. Changing the tablet could affect how the medication works.

Before reaching for the pill splitter, check with your pharmacist first. We can help you determine whether your specific medication can safely be divided.

And remember—just because a tablet has a line down the middle doesn’t always mean you should split it without checking.
