โœจ๏ธ On Today's episode of: LORD, WHAT NOW?! โœจ๏ธ๐Ÿ’€

Y'all ever have one of those weeks where you just look toward the heavens and whisper... Respectfully, WHAT are we doing?! ๐Ÿ˜ญ๐Ÿคฃ

So, with our power situation hanging in the balance, and my desire to save propane by running our smaller generator instead of the whole house generac... I've been trying to figure out how to save the contents of our refrigerator before the lights go out.

Simple enough, right?

WRONG. ๐Ÿ’€

Apparently, our refrigerator has decided it is no longer an appliance but a LOAD-BEARING WALL. ๐Ÿ˜ญ๐Ÿคฃ

This thing is WEDGED into its little opening like it was installed before the house was built. Can't move it. Can't reach the plug. Can't convince it that we have places to be and groceries to save.

Meanwhile, the sun is setting, time is ticking, and I'm on a Facebook Marketplace rescue mission still thinking that negotiations of another garage refrigerator for under $100 is way better than another $500 in propane before winter ๐Ÿซ

We have a full outdoor fridge, a few ice chests, a whole lot of eggs, and approximately 47 reasons why I would like to speak to management. ๐Ÿคฃ

At this point, tomorrow's menu might be:

๐Ÿฅš Eggs ร  la desperation
๐Ÿณ Scrambled eggs with a side of resilience
๐Ÿฆ Ice cream soup
โœจ๏ธ And whatever else the Lord sees fit.

Because apparently we're having an eat everything before it melts party! ๐Ÿฅณ๐Ÿ’€

But you know what? We're still here. Still laughing. Still finding ways to make something beautiful out of the ridiculous.

And if there's one thing this little home farmstead keeps teaching me, it's that sometimes you plant seeds, sometimes you harvest blessings, and sometimes you stand in your kitchen arguing with a refrigerator that has developed squatter's rights. ๐Ÿ˜ญ๐Ÿคฃ

ANYWAY... in completely unrelated news... ๐ŸŒพ๐Ÿคฃ

October preorders for Rooted & Rising | Agbara Roots are OPEN TODAY! ๐Ÿž๐ŸŽโœจ๏ธ

Not Just More Hours to Liveโ€ฆ More Life in the Hours We Already Have. ๐ŸŒฟ๐Ÿ’•

Yesterday with a house full of kids, after an interesting day of work, and despite all the thing life has a funny way of piling on, ๐Ÿ๐Ÿงฑ๐Ÿ–๐Ÿ‘ฉ๐Ÿพโ€๐ŸŒพ I found myself in the kitchen.

Homemade cinnamon roll pull apart for breakfast with a pot of champurrado. Sourdough pizza dough rising between work tasks... and eventually, a kitchen table full of little hands creating their own pizzas, spooky s'mores, and ridiculously customized popcorn. ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿ•๐ŸŽƒ

It was a lot, and somehow, it was the least exhausting part of my day.

I've been sitting with that realization.

Some things take our energy and leave us feeling emptied. Other things take our energy and somehow leave us feeling more like ourselves.

I think there's something incredibly important in recognizing the difference.

So often, we talk about needing more time. More hours in the day. More weekends. More opportunities to rest, catch up, or finally get around to the things we've been putting off... like winterizing and updated fencing ๐Ÿ™ˆ

But what if it isn't always about needing more time?

What if sometimes we're simply longing for more of our time to feel like it actually belongs to us?

Time to create. To connect. To laugh. To nurture something. To be present without mentally calculating what comes next.

Not because those things require less effort, but because they give something back.

As we step into another Tuesday of schedules, responsibilities, work demands, school routines, appointments, and the endless logistics of keeping life moving, I think this may be something worth remembering.

Being busy isn't always what exhausts us. Sometimes it's how little of ourselves we get to experience within all that busyness.

So cheers to being more intentional about recognizing what fills my cup (REST Included ๐Ÿคช), what empties it, and how much of my life I'm spending simply getting through the day rather than getting to live it.

Not just more hours to live. More life in the hours we already have. ๐ŸŒ™๐Ÿ’• even when that means updating goat fencing & prepping coops for winter ๐Ÿคฃ.

Happy Tuesday Y'all!!

โœจ๏ธ๐ŸŒ™ Well Hello October ๐Ÿ‚๐ŸŽƒ

September left our roots full. ๐ŸคŽ
Birthdays were celebrated. Final year 14U and flag football games were played. The first wrestling matches of the 2026 collegiate season hit the mat. Goslings grew, one tiny duckling became entirely too loved, and the littlest ladies of the Fluffy Butt Princess Hut gifted us their very first salmon faverolle eggs. ๐Ÿฅšโœจ

We gathered beneath the Harvest Moon, watched summer loosen its grip, and began making room for a season that asks something a little different of us:
rest for the soil, fall for the soul. ๐Ÿ

And now, October arrives.

With cooler evenings, warm ovens, bubbling sourdough, changing leaves, growing animals, good food, and another month of tending what we're becoming. ๐ŸŒพ๐Ÿ”ฅ

Hereโ€™s to gathering close, eating well, growing slowly, and welcoming whatever this beautiful new season brings.

Hello, October. We're glad you're here. ๐ŸคŽ
