Day 2 of Pickle with a Purpose – Chaffee County was such an incredible day on the courts! 🏓🔥

The Men’s & Women’s Doubles Tournament brought so much energy, teamwork, and competition. From intense rallies to amazing partner communication, every match kept the crowd cheering and the excitement going all day long. It was so much fun watching everyone play their hearts out and support one another. 💪❤️

Congratulations to all of our Day 2 winners! You all played amazing and earned every point. We’re sharing photos of all the winners, so be sure to check them out and help us celebrate these awesome teams! 🏆👏

Day 1 of Pickle with a Purpose – Chaffee County is officially in the books, and what an amazing start it was! 🎉🏓

From the very first serve this morning to the final point of the day, the energy on the courts was incredible. We had so many great matches, tons of laughter, and an awesome crowd cheering everyone on. It’s clear this event is about more than just pickleball — it’s about coming together as a community and supporting a great cause. ❤️

We’re so proud of all of our Mixed Doubles winners! Take a look at the photos to see all the champions who played their hearts out today. Every division brought the competition, and every winner earned it! 🏆👏

Thank you to everyone who played, volunteered, helped organize, and came out to support. You made Day 1 something really special.

We’re still smiling thinking about Hoops for a Cause a few weeks ago! 🏀💙

From the energy in the gym to the incredible support from our community, it was truly a day to remember. Our athletes brought their A-game, the crowd brought the hype, and together we created something really special.

Events like this remind us just how powerful connection, inclusion, and a little friendly competition can be. Thank you to everyone who came out, cheered loud, volunteered, and helped make it all happen—we couldn’t do it without you! Big shoutout to Ground2Air Productions for coming out and taking awesome action shots for us!

We are so proud to share that Terry Henderson has been named a finalist for Colorado Direct Support Professional of the Year! 🎉

Yesterday, Terry and a group of our consumers traveled to the Denver Art Museum for the Colorado Intellectual & Developmental Disabilities Awareness Day Luncheon & Awards Ceremony. This statewide event brings together self-advocates, families, providers, case managers, educators, researchers, and advocacy groups to celebrate the value and contributions of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and the professionals who support them.

Being selected as a finalist is a tremendous honor and highlights the dedication, compassion, and excellence Terry brings to the individuals we serve each day. Direct Support Professionals are truly the heart of our work, and this recognition reflects the meaningful impact Terry makes in the lives of others.

Terry shared, “We all had a great day! ❤️ I didn’t get number one but I feel like a winner. The support I have is more than I could ever ask for!”

We’re excited to announce that Starpoint is hosting the 2nd Annual Pickle with a Purpose pickleball tournament in Chaffee County! 🥇

Join us March 20 & 21, 2026 at Darren Patterson Christian Academy in Buena Vista for a fun, competitive fundraiser benefiting Starpoint. The tournament will feature 3.0, 3.5, and 4.0 round robin brackets with men’s, women’s, and mixed doubles—there’s something for everyone!

All proceeds support Starpoint and the individuals and families we serve. Grab a partner, sign up, and help us make an impact on and off the court.

The Vocational Skills Program is off to a great start! This week, we focused on the importance of following directions and how it connects to being successful at work. One fun activity had everyone navigate an obstacle course while blindfolded, using only verbal guidance. There were lots of laughs, and everyone walked away with a better understanding of how important it is to listen carefully and give clear instructions. Image
