Therapy is great and all, but sometimes we just need to spend some time processing emotions, while peacefully looking out the window 🐈‍⬛🪟💚

I don’t want to go on a whole tangent, but as therapists, we don’t always do a great job taking care of ourselves. We’re trained to hold space for emotions that the world often teaches people to suppress. But its hard to ignore the bigger picture, which is that the system was never really designed to support us. The same goes for teachers, nurses, and so many people in caregiving roles. We’re often underpaid, overworked, and stretched thin. It’s not that we don’t want to take care of ourselves… it’s that, sometimes, real self-care feels like a privilege.

That said, I still believe in the small shifts. The quiet moments. The tiny, intentional acts of mindfulness that can help us stay grounded and keep going, even on the hard days. Cuz heck, I will tell you I'm 'survivin' over here and sometimes those tiny moments are all we got! 🙌

Since May is Mental Health Awareness Month, I wanted to share something with my fellow therapist friends 💚

There’s a community called Therapy for Therapists Collective that isn’t very well known yet. They match you with a therapist (pro bono) for your own support, and in return, you provide therapy for another therapist who gets matched to you.There’s a membership fee ($8/month), and they’re continuing to grow by adding things like support groups and more resources.

Just putting it out there in case someone needs it, or feels they are in the space to offer. 🫶
