Joshua Ellis was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia Philadelphia Positive, at the age of 31.
At MD Anderson, he participated in a clinical trial of TKI ponatinib and blinatumomab. In the first two weeks he saw positive results!

Josh spent six months living in Houston to be near MDA for weekly visits, while also working remotely.

In just 6 months, he was able to go home to Ft Worth because his Leukemia was fully eradicated!

July 21, 2026 will be his 3rd year of being leukemia free.

"My son is my miracle.
He is in the top 10 of those who were treated with the tki ponatinib and blinatumomab trial who has made such a positive recovery.” - said Josh’s mom, Theresa Mullins.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MELISSA!

Melissa hadley was first diagnosed with Melanoma in 2001. There was a mole on the back of her left shoulder..at the time they checked lymph nodes and said she was clear. Then in 2004, she had a lump under her left arm. The biopsy on that showed melanoma .

Her oncologist ordered a PET scan and that showed tumors on her liver. The melanoma had metastasized.

Melissa tried all treatments available to her: including chemo and CyberKnife.

Nothing seemed to help but the tumors were slow growing.

Then through Suzanne and Say YES to hope I was picked to try SIRSpheres microspheres and that worked! This outpatient procedure killed all the cancer cells. That was 2008 and she has been NED since then!

She says she has inspired others with her attitude . She was never depressed( what could she do?). She always kept a happy outlook and encouraged others to try every option open to them.

She always believed she could SAY YES TO HOPE!

Survivorship looks different for everyone. It includes those newly diagnosed, those in treatment, those living with metastatic disease, those in remission, and those who carry the lifelong physical and emotional impact of cancer.

Every journey matters, and every survivor story deserves to be honored.

Mel is a Breast Cancer Warrior, survivor, advocate, and shining example of the power of community.

One of the most difficult parts of a cancer diagnosis can be feeling like you’re facing it alone. Mel’s message is a reminder that there is an entire community of survivors, caregivers, advocates, and supporters ready to walk beside you.

“You are not alone, there are other survivors who have gone through what you have. Just reach out.”

Whether you’re newly diagnosed, in treatment, thriving in survivorship, or supporting a loved one, connection matters. Sometimes hope begins with a simple conversation, a shared experience, or someone saying, “I’ve been there too.”

We honor the courage of survivors like Mel by reaching out, lifting each other up, and reminding every person facing cancer that they never have to face it alone and that they can say YES! to HOPE.
