Meet our October Employee of the Month…Darrell!

Darrell is a valued member of our Environmental Services team and has been with us for almost three months. While he may be newer to our team, he has already made a big impact on our residents and fellow team members.

September Staff Spotlight ⭐

Our residents have started a special tradition of recognizing the staff members who make a difference in their lives. Each month, residents can nominate a staff member to be featured in our Staff Spotlight by sharing two reasons why they believe that person deserves recognition. On the first of each month, the nominations are counted to select that month’s Staff Spotlight recipient. The recipient receives a special certificate signed by our Resident Council President, Joyce.

Since this was the first month, we had the pleasure of recognizing all six of our September nominees: Amy, Brittany, Jasmine, Jesse, Pacificah, and Patsy! Each of these individuals were nominated by our residents for the care, kindness, compassion, and dedication they show each day. We are so grateful for the meaningful impact they have on the lives of our residents and are happy to celebrate the difference they make.

Congratulations to our September Staff Spotlight nominees! Thank you for all that you do and for making our residents feel cared for, valued, and appreciated. 💙

We welcomed October with a fun, fall-themed cooking activity! Our residents prepared all of the ingredients and put together delicious apple dumplings for our dietary team to bake. Once they were ready, residents and staff had the chance to enjoy the tasty homemade treat together. It was the perfect way to kick off the new month!

Last week, our staff and residents got into the football spirit as the Browns took on the Steelers! The rivalry brought plenty of team pride and friendly competition to the building. While we may have had some divided loyalties, everyone enjoyed getting together to cheer on their favorite team and enjoy some game-day fun! 🏈

Last week, our residents enjoyed a special “Dolly Day” as we celebrated the life and legacy of country music legend Dolly Parton! ✨💗

Our Dietary team treated everyone to pink cupcakes, cake and frosted sugar cookies, while our staff dressed in pink and added a little sparkle to the celebration. Our dining room was also decked out in pink from top to bottom!

Residents enjoyed talking about Dolly, learning more about her life and sharing their favorite memories of the beloved musician. To make the celebration even more special, our Activities Coordinator, Patsy, serenaded everyone with some classic Dolly Parton songs. It was a fun-filled day celebrating a true country legend!

Our team recently helped make a very special milestone possible for one of our residents and her husband as they celebrated 59 years of marriage. We were honored to help them enjoy this meaningful occasion and celebrate nearly six decades of love and memories together. 💙

Last week, we celebrated National Cheeseburger Day with a delicious lunch for our staff! Our Dietary team fired up the grill and served up some tasty cheeseburgers for everyone to enjoy. A big thank you to our Dietary team for making the celebration extra delicious. 🍔

Last week, we had a special visit from Ralph and Todd of the Jackson Fire Department! They spent time with our residents discussing important fire safety tips and answering their questions. We truly appreciated their time and knowledge, and it was a privilege to have them visit with us!

Last week, our staff came together to surprise our Activities Coordinator, Patsy, on her 50th birthday! The celebration was filled with fun decorations, interesting facts about the year Patsy was born, delicious food, cake, presents, and plenty of smiles!

A special thank you to our Admissions Coordinator, Sam, and Housekeeper, Darrell, for taking the lead in putting together this wonderful surprise. We also appreciate the rest of our team for helping make the celebration such a success!

Happy 50th birthday, Patsy! We hope you had a wonderful day! 🎉💙
