Wanted to post an update on our daughter's cancer journey! We are so thankful she completed 6 months of chemo, and she rang the bell 🔔 Her pet scan is next week. Please pray with us that her scan is all clear🙌🏼 She's trying to get her strength and energy back, but it is slow going.

New research continues to show exciting benefits of GLP-1 medications beyond weight loss. Studies suggest they may help reduce the risk of certain cancers, possibly due in part to their powerful anti-inflammatory effects.

We've long believed that reducing chronic inflammation can have far-reaching health benefits, and it's encouraging to see more research supporting that idea. We look forward to seeing what future studies reveal!

Could Ozempic do more than help people lose weight?

Growing research suggests GLP-1 medications may also be linked to a lower risk of some cancers — and even lower odds of breast cancer coming back after treatment.

A breast cancer surgeon pointed to new research presented at this year's American Society of Clinical Oncology meeting that found an association between GLP-1 use and lower breast cancer recurrence rates, along with a possible role in preventing the disease.

Researchers stress the findings are still observational, meaning they show a link but do not prove the medications reduce cancer risk.

What a mess out there🤦🏻‍♀️ Our current understanding is that the best way to get to the pharmacy is thru the neighborhood behind us off of Batesville. You will likely have to tell the police officer or person who is trying to direct traffic that you need to get to the pharmacy, and they will let you thru.

Ashley update! This past Thursday, she had her 8th treatment. She's doing pretty well, all things considering. She's currently in the 'bad days' of chemo, but we're into a pretty steady rhythm, and she should start to feel better in a couple days.

While at the hospital on Thursday, we were in the wig shop, and there was an older lady in there too. She was completely bald and had been for quite a while, it seemed. She was SO excited because she was getting her very first wig. She was very emotional and said she cannot wait to go to dinner that night and to look and feel NORMAL. She said finally, people wouldn't be staring at her. It REALLY hit Ash bc Ash said she could completely identify with the lady 😭

So we got in the car, and Ash said she wants to start a non-profit to collect money and then purchase wigs for girls and women who are going thru chemo to brighten their journey.✨️🎀

God has been VERY good to Ash going thru this journey. We've seen God in ALL the details (I'm writing a booklet to give away because He has been SO GOOD, and we're SO thankful.)

So we've quickly gotten to work, and here's the info about her first fundraiser. 🎀✨️
