Dear Love & Canna supporters,
I’m writing this post with an extremely heavy heart because I have a couple of announcements to make. The state of Virginia ruled today that they have denied the extension for the delay to what I’m calling “the h**p ban.” What does this mean for us? Starting tomorrow at midnight, August 15th, almost the entirety of the products we have on our shelves will be illegal for us to sell. This is extremely disappointing for us as the state is essentially shutting down so many small businesses , farmers and manufacturers but it’s all out of our hands. So, we are asking you guys to please come by tomorrow and help us sell out of everything we have on the shelves. We NEED you guys for this so we are doing a 50% OFF store wide sale…our loss is your gain! PLEASE show up and help us! If you can’t show up, please share this post to spread the word🙏🏻
What does this mean for the future of Love & Canna? I started this business in 2020 with dreams of making this healing plant easily accessible to the people who need it and to bring the knowledge of the cannabis benefits to the shore. It’s been a rough battle as the laws and regulations have literally changed every single year since we’ve been open and with each new change, our sales have dropped. After this last change in laws, it’s without a doubt our sales will drop even more and now it’s time to take a step back. Financially, It’s not going to make any sense for us to keep going anymore so after our last product is off the shelf, we will be closing. Please know this decision has weighed heavily on me for quite some time but as I’ve said before, it’s out of my hands. I just want to thank each and every one of you for supporting us throughout the years.
And although we may be closing this chapter, we are praying our story isn’t done yet. Starting in February 2027, they will be accepting applications for the recreational ma*****na licenses. We have full intentions to apply for one and we are crossing our fingers and toes we will be lucky enough to get one. If this happens, we will be back…new and improved!
I hope this is just a “TaTa for now”. We hope to see you tomorrow for our last sale.
