It was a bittersweet day at Leadership Update this past week, with Dr. Larry Antonucci taking the stage for the final time as Lee Health President & CEO.

When one chapter comes to a close, another one begins. We looked back on our favorite memories through his nine-year tenure, and we also looked ahead to the future with Ben Spence, who will step into the role on Oct. 1.

Over the past several months, Dr. Antonucci and Ben have worked together to help ensure a thoughtful transition and a strong foundation for what comes next. 💙

Over the past few weeks, Lee Health team members have come together to celebrate Dr. Larry Antonucci and wish him well on his next chapter. 💙

We’re grateful for all he has given to our organization and the community we serve.

His leadership has left a lasting mark on Lee Health, but perhaps his greatest legacy will be the people he has inspired, encouraged, and worked alongside throughout the years. His impact will continue through the many people who had the opportunity to learn from him and be part of this journey.

What does a career in healthcare really look like? 🔬

Over two days, students from the School District of Lee County joined us at Lee Health Coconut Point for STEM at Work, getting a hands-on look at the many careers and areas that keep healthcare moving.

Students explored Central Energy, Critical Care, surgery and robotics, the Teaching Kitchen, surgical tools from Arthrex, Imaging and Breast Health including CT and ultrasound, Pharmacy, Digital Health, and AI.

From trying out technology and tools to asking questions directly to our team members, students had the opportunity to experience healthcare beyond the classroom and discover just how many career paths are available. 👏
