Happy Father’s Day to all of the amazing dads, grandfathers, great-grandfathers, and father figures in our community! 💙
Today, we celebrated our dads the best way we know how—with pizza, donuts, and beer (non-alcoholic, of course! 🍕🍩🍺). The day was filled with laughter, great conversation, and special memories as we honored the men who have shared their wisdom, strength, and love throughout the years.
Thank you to all the fathers who have made a lasting impact on our lives. We hope you enjoyed your well-deserved celebration. Happy Father’s Day from all of us at Carbondale Rehab 💙

Today we showed our appreciation for our amazing Certified Nursing Assistants with a delicious boneless wing lunch! 🍗💙
Our CNAs are the heart of our facility, providing compassionate care, comfort, and support to our residents every single day. Their dedication, kindness, and hard work make a difference in countless lives, and we are so grateful for everything they do.
Thank you to all of our incredible CNAs for your commitment, teamwork, and the smiles you bring to our residents and staff. We hope you enjoyed today's celebration—you deserve it!

Just when our residents thought Luke's live performance was the main event, two tiny VIPs decided to steal the spotlight!
Our afternoon concert was unexpectedly (and adorably) interrupted by two baby kangaroos who clearly didn't get the memo about waiting backstage. The furry visitors hopped right into the hearts of residents and staff, turning a wonderful musical performance into an unforgettable adventure.
Between songs, residents enjoyed learning about the baby kangaroos' home life, their care, and what it's like growing up with a pouch as your first apartment. Staff members even had the chance to hold the little celebrities, who seemed perfectly comfortable soaking up all the attention and posing for photos.
We're not saying Luke has competition, but the kangaroos definitely earned a few encores of their own!
Thank you to Luke for being such a good sport and to our special guests from Safari Farm Petting Zoo and Sanctuary for hopping by and making everyone's day a little brighter. The smiles, laughter, and memories made today were simply priceless.

Our residents and staff are proudly supporting the Alzheimer’s Association Walk to End Alzheimer’s with the help of Visiting Angels! We are currently collecting slightly used shoes to help raise funds and awareness for this important cause.
Donations of gently worn sneakers, boots, sandals, and dress shoes are greatly appreciated! Every pair helps make a difference in the fight against Alzheimer’s disease.

📅 Donation Dates: now until the end of July

Thank you for helping us support individuals and families affected by Alzheimer’s. Together, we can take steps toward hope and a cure! 💜

It may have been a rainy day, but we didn’t let that ruin our annual Memorial Day cookout for our residents and staff! 🇺🇸🌭🍔
Everyone enjoyed delicious hamburgers and hot dogs, macaroni salad, corn on the cob, and a resident favorite — strawberry poke cake for dessert! 🍓🍰
Most importantly, we spent the day together honoring and remembering the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country. ❤️🤍💙
Thank you to everyone who helped make the day so special!

The residence picked the hottest day of the year so far to do our planting in the courtyard! 🌞🌱
Please enjoy some before-and-after pictures — we think the residents did a great job! A big thank you to the Activities Department and Lynn for helping the residents with the planting, and to Blueberry Hill Farm for donating the seeds for this year’s vegetable garden. 🫐🥕🍅

Our residents are soaking up the warm weather and sunshine today with some outdoor bingo fun! ☀️🎉 Nothing better than fresh air, laughter, and a little friendly competition to brighten the day. 💛

We survived Nursing Home Week… barely 😂
For the grand finale, we celebrated with hamburgers, hot dogs, Sports Day, and a disco karaoke party that honestly should have come with ear plugs 🎤🕺🌭🍔
The residents and staff BOTH took the mic, and let’s just say there were some performances that would NOT be getting golden buzzers anytime soon 😅 A few hidden talents were discovered… and a few people discovered they should lip sync instead.
Somehow the residents still had more energy than the staff by the end of the night 🤣
If this post gets over 100 likes, we may or may not expose the karaoke videos for proof. Fair warning: friendships and singing careers could be ruined 😂🎶
