This afternoon and evening was the annual Cumberland County medical Society picnic at Adams Ricci Park. Our guests this year were Terrie and Tom Maier, representing Samaritan Fellowship, one of the nonprofits that CCMS supports during Match Madness. Terrie spoke to us about the work that Samaritan Fellowship does and its impact in the community.

It’s been a while since Cumberland County Medical Society held a suture workshop. We were contacted by Messiah University to provide physicians willing to teach students the art of suturing. These would be students in the Pre-Health professions club - nursing, premed, Physical therapy and PA students.

The suture workshop will be held THURSDAY, APRIL 23rd at 7pm until approximately 9pm at Messiah University in Mechanicsburg. All supplies will be provided. They will not be using pig feet for this workshop.

If you are available and willing to volunteer, please let me know by Monday, April 13th.
