From my first contest
Only event I didn’t zero or get last in. I got second to last! After this day I knew this is what I wanted to do and nothing would stop me from chasing my strongman dreams. I will forever be grateful for strongman as it made me find the strongest version of myself and that has carried over to everything else in my life. What would my life be like now if I gave up after this because it was hard and I did so poorly? Doing “poorly” gave me motivation to work harder and 5 years later I won my first contest! (Which didn’t even hand out trophies 😂)

I never won a national or world championship or went pro or any of those types of things but I gave 100% effort for 10 years and showed myself what I am capable of. I get a lot of questions from people that haven't even started if I think they can go pro, go to Worlds Strongest Man, etc and I always tell them that is not for me to answer! If you are focused on the destination you are going to miss out on the journey. Which is all that matters in the end. Go out, give it everything you have and in a decade from now look back at where you started you will never know what you are capable of if you never start.

Sixth Annual No Fame Games Celebrates Celtic Strength, Sports, Culture & Community No Strength Without Unity
