Soulcore

A movement to nourish body, mind & soul while meditating on the life of Christ through the Rosary. A gentle path to grow in virtue and cultivate interior peace.

SoulCore is an apostolate that intentionally engages the whole person in the sacred experience of the rosary. Integrating the prayers of the rosary with core strengthening, stretching and functional movements to nourish body & soul and encourage deeper reflection on the virtues. SoulCore was born out of the desire, the calling really, to strengthen our physical bodies while strengthening our souls through prayer. Our logo, the A intertwined with the M, means “Under the Protection of Mary.” We deepen our devotion to Jesus and Mary by praying the rosary, helping us to remain aware that we are constantly under their protection. As stated so beautifully in a meditation book by Richard Beyer, In meditating on the mysteries of the rosary, Jesus also helps us to interpret and understand the meaning of His life and death. The more we reflect on the lives of Jesus and Mary through the mysteries, the more we become like them in mind and heart. By means of the rosary, the Spirit of God gradually transfigures our hearts and minds to resemble those of Christ and His Blessed Mother.

Again and again throughout history, we find powerful examples of what can happen when people turn to the Rosary with faith and ardent prayer.

There are surely countless graces and quiet interventions we will never know this side of heaven. Yet we can trust that every Rosary offered with love and faith bears fruit. It draws us closer to Jesus through Mary, strengthens us in times of trial, and reminds us that prayer is never without purpose.

Through meditation on the Mysteries, we contemplate the lives of Jesus and Mary. We ask for the grace to grow in the virtues they reveal to us. And as we strengthen and care for our bodies, we seek to make ourselves ever more willing and able instruments of God’s love and His Will.

This is at the heart of SoulCore.

Venerable Fulton Sheen beautifully described the Rosary as a profound source of healing for troubled and fearful souls because it engages us physically, vocally, and spiritually.

October is dedicated to the Most Holy Rosary! 🤍

This month, we are invited in a special way to draw closer to Jesus through the heart of Mary.

When we turn our hearts toward Christ through the Rosary, we do not have to come with everything figured out. We simply come as we are - with our joys and sorrows, our worries and hopes, our gratitude and longing. We place it all into the merciful hearts of Jesus and Mary.

As we meditate on the mysteries of Christ’s life, we are also invited to contemplate the virtues revealed within them - such as humility, trust, courage, patience, surrender, faithfulness, love... and to ask for the grace to live these virtues more fully in our own lives.

As we prepare to celebrate the Feast of Our Lady of the Rosary on October 7, may this month be an invitation to return to the Rosary with renewed devotion. May we linger a little longer in its mysteries, entrust our burdens more freely, and discover anew the strength, peace, virtue, and grace that come from walking each day with Jesus and Mary.
