Children and adults affected by cerebral palsy often face challenges that hinder their full participation in society. When individuals, families, caregivers, and communities come together, they become a powerful force for positive change and inclusion.

Our residents need your help! We have a fundraiser through GofundMe to raise money for medical equipment including an electrical Hoyer lift and a wheelchair. Your donation would be a huge blessing. 100% of the money received will be going to the medical equipment needed.

Asperger's syndrome is included in the autism spectrum, a disorder related to brain development impacting how a person perceives and socializes with others. What distinguishes Asperger's Disorder from classic autism is its less severe signs and absence of language delays. It is like a milder form of autism. Individuals with Asperger's Disorder are interested in social interaction, but may be socially awkward or unfamiliar with conventional social rules.

People with Asperger’s usually show an intense interest, fascination, or fixation on specific topics that may border on obsession. They may also have knowledge of categories of information, such as specific statistics or facts. They may have an exceptional ability for detailed learning and memory, attention to detail, and a strong ability to recognize patterns. According to Australia's Calming Moments website, some famous names associated with Asperger's Disorder include Albert Einstein, Vincent van Gogh, and World Chess Champion Bobby Fischer.
