We opened Aura because we believe something simple: you shouldn't have to drive an hour or more for great skin and wellness care.

You'll find us at 28 10th Ave South, just off Main Street, open Tuesday through Thursday from 9am to 5pm. Stop in and say hello! It's our favorite thing.

A guide to everything I look for before recommending a single treatment.

It's never just "what do you want." Before I suggest anything, I'm looking at your skin's current tolerance, your history, and your life right now, not just where you want to end up today.

Sometimes someone comes in wanting a lot done, but what actually makes sense is something smaller, or something different than they expected. I'd rather give you the plan that's right for your face than the one you walked in asking for.

Whether you've had work done before or never touched a treatment, I start in the same place: your history. What's worked, what hasn't, anything you've reacted to, that tells me what to do differently this time. If you've never had anything done, that's information too. No baseline just means we take it slower and build from a clean start.

Your schedule matters as well. Big event coming up, or you're a mom with zero margin for downtime? That changes what I'd recommend that week. I ask about your life before I ever suggest a treatment.

And if something isn't going to get you where you want to go, I'll tell you. I'd rather be honest with you than oversell you.

This is one of my favorite parts of the job. No two treatment plans are ever the same, because no two of you are. Consultations are always complimentary, and I'd love to be the one who helps you figure out yours.

September Special: Buy 2 VI Peels, get the third free. That's the full series for $600 instead of $900.

We always recommend VI Peels as a series instead of a one time treatment, and there's a real reason for that. Sun spots, acne scarring, and uneven tone sit in multiple layers of skin, and skin only turns over every 4 to 6 weeks, so a single peel can't reach it all. Spacing three peels about a month apart lets us work through it in stages. The first clears the damaged outer layer and kicks off cell turnover, the second targets the pigment and texture underneath, and the third evens everything out, which is usually when you start seeing the real changes in tone and texture.

A VI Peel is a medical grade peel that helps with sun damage, acne scarring, melasma, enlarged pores, and fine lines. It's a good fit if summer left you with sun spots, breakouts that keep coming back, or texture that just won't even out.
