My son earned the title of 2026 King of the Rock Overall Champion!

Watching him compete, stay composed under pressure, and battle through three playoff holes to claim the overall championship created a memory our family will never forget.

A special thank you to Country Place and all the coaches who made this such an incredible event. Over the course of two weeks, the competition included golf, tennis, swimming, and fishing, giving kids the opportunity to compete, learn, and create lasting memories. We are truly grateful to live in such a wonderful community.

I couldn't be more proud of the young man he is becoming—both on and off the golf course. His hard work, sportsmanship, and dedication continue to inspire me every day.

Congratulations, Champion! The work continues. We'll keep focusing on consistency in the full swing, pitching, and putting, but today we celebrate an amazing accomplishment.

Nobody wants to hear this.

Running is often promoted as the ultimate fitness solution.

But what many advocates won’t tell you is this:

If you’re over 50, excessive running may be costing you the very things you’re trying to preserve.

• Muscle mass
• Joint health
• Recovery ability
• Strength
• Power
• Balance

After 50, your body naturally begins losing muscle every year.

It’s called sarcopenia.

The problem?

Many adults spend hours running while doing little or no strength training.

I have two boys… 24 years apart.

I was 24 when I had my first son.
44 when my second was born.

Two completely different seasons of life.
Two different versions of me.

But one lesson has stayed the same:

“No man is perfect… but a trying man is everything.
So keep moving.”
