AMCP and ISPOR will be hosting Drug Information Fellows from the Purdue University Fellowship Program on Wednesday, November 3rd from 6-7 PM! This information session will take place via Zoom and will provide an opportunity for you to learn more about Purdue's fellowship program(s), how to become an ideal fellowship candidate, and ask any questions that you may have! We hope you will join us!

Hi everyone! We are having our second chapter meeting of the year tomorrow night via Zoom at 6 pm. We have the Dr. Langley Kyle (hint- Dr. Kyle’s wife) from Rx Benefits! Come hear about her role as a Managed Care pharmacist! The Zoom link is in our bio! We hope to see y’all there!

October 23rd is National Drug Take Back Day. AMCP will be partnering with APhA-ASP's Operation's Substance Use Disorders and OTC Medication Safety committees to serve with the Vestavia Police Department at their drug take back event. If you are interested in volunteering, please use the link in the MSOP newsletter to sign up. The times have not been finalized, but the event will likely take place in the morning!

Hey y’all!! Shepherd's Fold Donation Drive is underway! Shepherd's Fold is a transition home that assists those recently released from incarceration get back on their feet! Boxes are set up on the second and fourth floors, and we would greatly appreciate any donations of essentials like laundry detergent, shampoo/conditioner, and soap! Come help out!

Happy Tuesday y’all! AMCP is doing a blanket drive the next couple weeks of October and we would love for you to participate! We are collecting blankets for the Shepherd Fold’s Transition Home, which is a home for recently incarnated men who are getting back on their feet! We have a goal of collecting 30 to help them out! Bins will be in CHS 1409 and 1222! If you have any questions, email [email protected] or message us!

We would like to take a moment to bring recognition to our outgoing executive officers, Vice President Nancy Joseph and Industry Chair Michelle Ball, for being inducted into the National Pharmacy Leadership Organization, Phi Lambda Sigma. AMCP has experienced a tremendous amount of growth this year due to their commitment to the chapter and dedication for service, congratulations ladies!
