Important update from the FDA: has removed the long-standing black-box warnings from many FDA-approved hormone replacement therapy (HRT) products for menopause. This change reflects current evidence and acknowledges the proven safety and benefits of appropriately prescribed hormone therapy.

Stress is the most common cause of hair loss. Increase your protein, iron, zinc, or vitamins B12 and D. Hormone and thyroid changes, stress, or low calories make it worse. It’s usually reversible once nutrition and stress are corrected. Blood tests can check for any deficiencies. Most regrow hair in a few months.

Mechanisms
1. Spines:
• The most visible defense. These are modified y ves that deter animals from eating the cactus.
• They can also provide shade and reduce air movement near the surface, minimizing water loss.
2. Glochids:
• Tiny, hair-like barbed spines found in the areoles (small bumps) of the cactus.
• They detach easily and can embed in the skin of animals or humans, causing irritation—an effective deterrent against small herbivores…. And takes days for your body to repel them because there aren’t enough pluckers to remove them all.
