Hi there! I first crossed paths with Brenna about 5 years ago while working together as lactation consultants at Duke University Hospital, and I am thrilled to join forces with her again here at Every Drop Lactation to support families in our community.
As an RN and IBCLC, I have spent over a decade caring for thousands of families and their newborns in busy hospital birth centers across North Carolina. But my understanding of the newborn trenches goes far beyond clinical experience—when I had my own child, we faced intense feeding challenges in those vulnerable first few weeks due to a tongue tie, and working through that experience with trustworthy, specialized support from Brenna allowed us to establish a positive breastfeeding relationship. Navigating those early roadblocks myself opened my eyes to just how emotionally and physically exhausting the feeding journey can be, and how desperately every parent needs a compassionate, knowledgeable guide in their corner. Even with background knowledge or prior experience, you truly cannot do it all alone, as each parent-baby feeding journey is unique.
Whether you are dealing with painful latching or pumping, oral restriction concerns, low or oversupply, or preparing for birth or return to work, I want to partner with you to establish a healthy feeding relationship with your baby. I am here to offer warm, non-judgmental care, practical evidence-based tools, and hands-on support tailored to your family. I am also dedicated to bridging communication gaps and bringing accessible, equitable support to diverse families in our community, including offering intermediate-level support in Mandarin or Cantonese if that is helpful for your family. I am so excited to walk alongside you on your own journey!
