A yoga class can be a great place to start. But what happens next?
When organizations want to support employee wellbeing, it’s easy to start with a single activity: a yoga class, a fitness class, or a wellness event.
There’s nothing wrong with starting small.
The difference is what happens next.
A strategic wellbeing approach asks:
• Are employees actually able to participate?
• Does the program fit their schedules and needs?
• What barriers are getting in the way?
• Are we supporting more than just physical wellbeing?
• Are we listening to employee feedback and adapting?
Wellbeing isn’t one-size-fits-all. What works for one employee or team may not work for another.
The goal isn’t to offer more programs just to check a box. It’s to create opportunities that employees can realistically engage with and build a culture where wellbeing becomes an ongoing part of the employee experience.
Start with one initiative. Think beyond the one initiative.
