Today, June 8th, is World Brain Tumor Day. š§
Now is the time to come together to raise awareness, honor those living with brain tumors, and recognize the families and caregivers who support them along the way.
There are over 100 unique types of brain tumors, and each has its own symptoms, treatments, and outlook. Primary brain tumors are usually diagnosed around age 61. However, brain tumors also affect children ā with about 5,000 cases diagnosed each year in the US.
