Today, June 8th, is World Brain Tumor Day. 🧠

Now is the time to come together to raise awareness, honor those living with brain tumors, and recognize the families and caregivers who support them along the way.

There are over 100 unique types of brain tumors, and each has its own symptoms, treatments, and outlook. Primary brain tumors are usually diagnosed around age 61. However, brain tumors also affect children – with about 5,000 cases diagnosed each year in the US.

Did you know . . . ?

🧠 Brain tumors are the leading cause of cancer-related death in children.

🧠 More than 4,000 brain and spinal cord tumors are diagnosed annually in children and teenagers.

🧠 About three out of four children with brain tumors survive at least five years after being diagnosed, although outcomes vary widely depending on tumor type and location.

We're honored to be part of the care team supporting patients and families affected by brain tumors. Your resilience, determination, and perseverance inspire us today and every day.

A rare disease diagnosis can be life-changing. A diagnosis like blastic plasmacytoid dendritic cell neoplasm (BPDCN) can be even more difficult because there are so few treatment options. Patients may face complex treatments like chemotherapy or stem cell transplants.

Today, Biologics is proud to announce that we've been chosen by AbbVie as the exclusive specialty pharmacy provider for DECNUPAZā„¢ (pivekimab sunirine-pvzy). This intravenous therapy offers a new option for patients living with BPDCN.

We’re honored to work with AbbVie to help bring this treatment to patients – and to support them and their care teams throughout the treatment journey.

As we approach National Cancer Survivors Day this Sunday, June 7, and throughout National Cancer Survivors Month, we pause to honor the strength and resilience of the over 18.6 million cancer survivors in the U.S.

Cancer survivors are more than just statistics. Their stories offer comfort and hope to those who need it. We're honored to be a small part of their journey.

Join us this month to celebrate the spirit of cancer survivors and support their ongoing journeys. Together, we can continue to stand with patients and survivors and help ensure they have the support they need—so we can all work toward a future filled with hope and healing.

Some people may hesitate to talk with their doctor about symptoms that feel uncomfortable or personal. But staying silent can delay diagnosis and treatment when early care matters most.

That’s why Uterine Cancer Awareness Month is so important. Every June, we have a chance to raise awareness, encourage open conversations, and support research that leads to better treatment options.

Uterine cancer is one of the most common cancers among women. The number of cases is expected to increase 50% by 2044. Deaths are on the rise, too. That makes it more important than ever for women to know the signs and have access to timely medical care.

At Biologics, we're proud to support patients affected by uterine cancer and to help improve awareness and access to care.

We hope you enjoy your travels!

Over 700,000 people in the US are currently living with a brain tumor. With more than 130 kinds of brain and CNS tumors, each patient’s diagnosis and treatment journey can be complex and deeply personal.

May is Brain Tumor Awareness Month, a time for us to raise awareness about brain tumors, their impact, and the importance of continued research to improve outcomes.

🧠 A brain tumor is an abnormal mass of cells that grows in the brain or central nervous system. Tumors that spread to the brain from other parts of the body, called metastatic tumors, are more common than tumors that start in the brain.

🧠 Over 90,000 people are diagnosed with a brain tumor every year.

🧠 Symptoms can include headaches, seizures, and changes in balance. Because symptoms vary based on tumor type and location, it’s important to talk with a healthcare provider if you have concerns.

At Biologics Specialty Pharmacy, we focus on making sure patients get the information they need when hit with this difficult diagnosis. We're proud to be part of the community that supports brain tumor patients.

The 2026 Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) Congress is over. Once again, we were inspired by the amazing nurses who care for patients during some of the hardest times in their lives.

Here are a few of our key takeaways this year:

āš•ļø The field of cancer care is changing very quickly. That means nurses need to know how to adapt and use the latest innovations to offer the best care.

šŸ’Š Patients need more than just today's treatment. True support comes in the form of both what they need now and what they may need months down the line.

šŸ‘„ Cancer care can be complex. But this is a great time for care teams to come together to share resources.

This year's ONS Congress was a great reminder of how quickly cancer care is changing—and how important nurses are when it comes to transforming those changes into high-quality care.

Below, Daniel Weaver, Clinical Science Liaison Director, shares his thoughts about the ONS Congress this year: https://www.linkedin.com/posts/daniel-weaver-io_ons-onscongress-biologicsbymckesson-share-7460778039933734912-jYjP/

Rare disease care can be complex. Even if a patient has a diagnosis, that doesn't always mean there's a clear path to treatment.

But connecting the dots can lead to a simpler treatment journey that brings together the threads of care to create a powerful, connected network.

In this article, Stephanie Patten, VP of Rare Disease and Advanced Therapies, looks at how a team approach can make a big difference. A coordinated care team can mean the world to a patient and their family.
