A NEW WAY TO GET REIMBURSED FOR THERAPY AT AKAP! Edited to add: this may only be possible for families living in Tennessee! Please check with your state.

This is BIG news for some of our families.

The Katie Beckett Medicaid Waiver helps children with significant disabilities and medical needs qualify for Medicaid services based on the child’s needs rather than their parents’ income. Programs based on the Katie Beckett model are available in 43 states.
~
And we just had an AKAP mom get REIMBURSED for her child’s therapy with us!
~
She paid for her child’s intensive, we provided her with a superbill, she submitted it to the program—and she was reimbursed because AKAP qualified as non-traditional therapy under her program.
~
If your child is already part of a Katie Beckett Medicaid Waiver program, this could be another way to help cover the cost of coming to AKAP.
~
