It's been a while since I have posted. I took quite a long break with Covid and losing tanning space.. hoping to have some good news coming soon. ❤️❤️. For now, I just wanted to share a pic of what happens when I spray over deodorant. There is a chemical reaction with the solution .. usually it's just a little green tint that rinses after the first rinse. Other times , it's like this , prescription strength and spray deodorant will do this if it's not washed really good before tan. This type of reaction does not rinse off , it will have to fade off. Just wanted to share for all to see ... hope everyone had a good thanksgiving.... happy holidays.

With so many staying home, I just wanted to talk a little about at home tanners.

Prep is exactly the same for self tanning as it is for spray tanning.

Exfoliate, using a good exfoliating gloves or cloth and shave 24 hours prior to application.

Also, have clean skin, free of oils, lotions or makeup.

For best results use a mit that is made for self tanning application. I’ll ad a picture in comments. These have a lining inside to protect your hands from turning black or orange.

Use a good quality self tanner for best results. Follow instructions for tanning times on the bottle.

There are different formulas. I prefer mousse because it applies more evenly.

Also, same as with a spray tan. Avoid tight clothing and water until after your first rinse. Only use warm water to rub off bronzer.

Keeping your skin hydrated and drinking a lot of water will prolong your tans life. Also, only use a sharp razor when you shave.

❤️. There is also a post on my page about proper exfoliation. I don’t use exfoliating scrubs Bc they usually are full of oils and they leave a barrier on your skin.

Spray tanning info....

I have different options of spray tans, from color to length of developing time.

Overnight solutions - You keep on at least 12 hrs, I say over night Bc you can keep on overnight and get the same affect as rinsing at 12hrs. When sleeping in solution always wear loose fitting pajama pants and a t-shirt. Your tan can transfer from skin to skin contact. Like an arm folded over the other arm. Also, sweating can cause some issues with developing. If you sweat a lot at night - rapid solutions will work better.

Rapid rinse - I have several options here. Depending on the color you want to go. Rinse times can very from 2-6 hrs. You will still have some color when you rinse but your color will continue to develop darker up to 24 hrs.

First rinse - warm water only rinse. You will not use any soaps or a wash cloth. You will use your hands to rub bronzer off until you get it all off. This shower needs to a quick rinse shower with warm, not hot water. Towel dry by dabbing not rubbing.

Extending your tan - your skin naturally exfoliates and everyone’s skin is different. Some can go 2 weeks with one spray tan. Those with dryer skin will have a shorter tan life. Keeping your skin moisturized is the key factor to extending your tan. Also, hydrating by drinking plenty of water.

Other ways Of extending tan... Using a sharp razor when shaving. Avoiding dove soaps. Do not use retinol on your face. Avoid tight fitting clothes.

I just wanted to share this because I have had a lot of questions regarding exfoliating.. I recommend these gloves. You can get them at ulta, Walmart or amazon. I usually don’t recommend any actual exfoliating products, they are usually full of oils. I use these gloves in the shower with my daily shower gel. 24 hours before spray tan... remember- no dove soaps. 😍😍
