We recently had the opportunity to sit down with some of our residents and ask them about the lives they lived, the careers they had, and the things they were passionate about.

Hearing their stories was truly incredible. From the work they dedicated their lives to, to the experiences and accomplishments that shaped who they are today, each story gave us a chance to see our residents in a whole new light.

We loved listening, learning, and getting to know more about the amazing people behind each story. ❤️

Every person has a story worth telling. Every life has chapters worth remembering.

This event is OPEN TO THE PUBLIC, and we’d love to see you there!

🤠💙 CONGRATULATIONS, MARTHA! 💙🤠

We are so excited to celebrate our amazing volunteer, Martha, who was nominated for—and WON—the Cowboy Kindness Award on Monday! 🏆🎉

Nearly 50 people from across the state of Wyoming were nominated for this special award, and we couldn’t think of anyone more deserving than Martha! ❤️

Martha has been volunteering at Shepherd of the Valley Rehabilitation and Wellness for over three decades (yes, really), bringing smiles, laughter, conversation, and kindness to our residents. When asked about what she does during her interview with Wyoming News Now, Martha said:

“I try to make people happy. We talk about whatever they want to talk about. Wednesday is Ice Cream Day and that’s a fun, fun day. It makes them happy.”

And that is exactly what Martha does—she makes everyone here so happy! 🍦😊

Her dedication, compassion, and genuine love for our residents shine through every time she walks through our doors. We appreciate Martha more than words can say, and we are incredibly proud to have her as part of our Shepherd of the Valley family. 💙

☀️💦 Our Rusty’s Wheel & Walker Wash was a SPLASH! 💦☀️

Our residents and staff at Shepherd of the Valley Rehab & Wellness took full advantage of the beautiful sunshine and warm weather with a fun-filled afternoon of smiles, laughter, and plenty of water! 😄

Everyone had a blast rolling through the water and watching their wheelchairs and walkers get cleaned up and sparkling like new! ✨🫧 It was a refreshing way to beat the heat and enjoy some time together.

It was the perfect way to cool off, have fun, and make some wonderful memories together. ❤️🧽✨

☀️ The weather understood the assignment today... sunshine, blue skies, and the smell of burgers on the grill! 🍔🌭

Our BBQ was a sizzling success! Residents enjoyed juicy burgers and hot dogs loaded with all the toppings and fixings, baked beans, crunchy potato chips, and plenty of ice-cold tea to beat the heat.

The only thing hotter than the grill was the competition for the last hot dog! 😄 There were lots of laughs, full bellies, and happy hearts all around.

If happiness had a recipe, we'd say it starts with good company, great food, and a sunny afternoon. Here's to making memories! ❤️☀️

Each Button Buddy was as unique as the person who created it, bringing plenty of smiles, laughter, and creativity to our day. It's always wonderful to see everyone's imagination shine while spending time together.
