Starting solids feels complicated.

It doesn’t have to be. 🥄

Does your baby need teeth first? No.
Should iron-rich foods come first? Yes.
Is puréed the only way? No.
Does timing actually matter? Yes.

Another school shooting, this time in Bend, Oregon. That makes 26 this year, and we’ve almost stopped noticing. I’m a pediatrician and a dad of 7, and I can’t call this normal. Schools can’t solve this alone. Real change begins inside our own homes.
