The food industry mastered the illusion of health.

Somehow the cows are the problem… not the ultra-processed factory food with ingredients your grandmother wouldn’t recognize.

It’s not willpower. It’s strategy. 🌿

You are what you eat.

Driscoll's conventional strawberries were just tested by an EPA-certified lab for pesticides. They found residues of 12 different pesticides at levels prohibited in the EU, Taiwan, Chile, Korea, and Russia.

8 of those pesticides are classified as PFAS- forever chemicals that never break down in your body.

They were previously recalled for exceeding maximum pesticide residual limits for etoxazole, a chemical linked to liver damage, bone density loss, and endocrine disruption.

The solution: always buy organic and eat more meat.

Low-carb and ketogenic eating aren’t new. They’re not a fad. They’re a metabolic tool.

For epilepsy, ketogenic diets have been used medically for decades to help reduce seizures. For type 2 diabetes and insulin resistance, reducing sugar and starch can dramatically lower the demand for insulin and help stabilize blood glucose.

That matters because chronically high blood sugar and insulin are linked to many modern metabolic problems: weight gain, fatty liver, high triglycerides, cravings, energy crashes, and inflammation.

Is keto a magic cure for every disease? No.
But is reducing sugar, ultra-processed carbs, and “health halo” junk food one of the most powerful levers we have?

Absolutely.

Because this isn’t about willpower.
This is metabolism.
And metabolism loves strategy.

Easter isn’t just about chocolate bunnies and jellybeans (although… no judgment).

It’s about renewal. Reset. A fresh start.

A reminder that no matter how messy things have been…
You can begin again.

You don’t need a Monday.
You don’t need January 1st.
You don’t need “perfect timing.”

You just need a decision.

- To take care of your body
- To fuel yourself differently
- To stop starting over… and actually move forward

Because the real transformation?
It doesn’t come from deprivation.
It comes from alignment.

So enjoy the brunch.
Love on your people.
Skip the guilt.

And maybe… just maybe…
Let today be the day you choose something different for yourself.

You are one decision away from a completely different life.

Oh good, just what I wanted with my fries… a side of systemic pesticide. 🍟✨

In the U.S.: 14 ingredients, a chemistry lesson, and a pesticide that’s literally inside the potato. (But sure… “natural flavors.” 🙄)

In Europe: potatoes, oil, salt… you know, food.

Imidacloprid gets absorbed into every cell of the plant—so no, you can’t wash it off, peel it off, or “just balance it out.” It’s already RSVP’d to your bloodstream.

Banned in the EU since 2018.
Still hanging out in the U.S. like it pays rent.

But yeah… tell me more about how the real problem is butter.

Right now, Big Ag is working overtime to discredit the science linking their pesticides to serious health risks like cancer and Parkinson’s disease—because the truth threatens their profits.

And they’re not stopping there.

They’ve pushed through an executive order to protect the production of glyphosate, one of the most widely used (and controversial) pesticides on the planet.

Now they’re pressuring Congress to go even further—blocking local safety protections, shielding themselves from lawsuits, and weakening federal oversight.

Translation?

More power for billion-dollar corporations.

Less protection for consumers.

Did you know some fruits and veggies are basically pesticide magnets — even after you scrub them like you’re trying to erase 2020?

That’s why the Dirty Dozen and Clean 15 exist.

Every year, the EWG releases its list of the produce most (and least) likely to come with a side of chemicals.

And guess what?

The 2025 list just dropped, and it’s… enlightening. Let’s just say some of our favorites need a little “handle with caution” energy.

Stick with me — I’ll tell you what to buy organic and what you can toss in your cart without feeling like you’re snacking on science experiments.

When shopping for fruits and vegetables, it’s important to know which ones are most likely to carry pesticide residues, even after washing. That’s where the Dirty Dozen and Clean 15 come in.

Nutrition is directly linked to health and disease, but here's the thing: the impact of your diet might involve more than just stuffing your face with pizza or carefully planning your meals.

The order in which you eat your food could also play a role, because, why not? It's not like you need to dissect your next omelet or casserole like a science experiment, but when you've got the chance to take a bite of one food before another, it's worth considering the benefits.

Possible benefits of meal sequencing: basically, anything you put in your body affects how it functions, and many of those effects happen during the postprandial (fed) state, which is just a fancy way of saying 'after you eat.'

Your body spends a solid six hours or more in this state after each meal, so yeah, that's a big deal.

Experts want to figure out how to minimize the negative impacts during this state, and one possible way is by changing the order in which you eat your food.

Some research suggests that eating fiber, protein, and fats before consuming refined carbs (like sugar, white flour, and white rice) might offer some health benefits during the postprandial state, because who doesn't love a good health benefit?

For more info on how to address your own nutrition concerns and to get a realistic strategy for getting through the holidays, I invite you to book a free “Kick Your Sugar Cravings” session with me!
