Keep your family safe by remembering these lightning safety tips:
🏠 Move indoors immediately when you hear thunder
🚫 Avoid open fields, playgrounds, and bodies of water
🌳 Never shelter under a tree
📱 Stay away from corded electronics and plumbing during a storm
⏰ Wait at least 30 minutes after the last clap of thunder before heading back outside

In Celebration of Dads ❤️

As we wrap up our 'In Celebration of Dads' series, we're reminded that some of life's most important lessons aren't taught in a classroom—they're modeled every day through hard work, humility, and service to others.

Coach Durham taught his daughters that there is no substitute for effort. He believed in never being outworked, in giving credit away when things went well, and in taking responsibility when they didn't. Most importantly, he believed that every person has a responsibility to leave things better than they found them.

Those lessons didn't just shape Susan and Kelly—they helped shape KidMed.

Every day, we strive to work harder than anyone else to provide the very best care for the families who trust us with their health. We know that any success we enjoy is because of the incredible team that serves our patients with compassion, skill, and dedication. And when our own careers are over, we hope our legacy will be a healthier, happier Eastern North Carolina—one where we left our communities just a little better than we found them.
