Congratulations to Dr. Andrew Patterson who is celebrating his retirement today after 33 years with MercyCare Community Physicians!

After joining MercyCare North Urgent Care in 1993, Dr. Patterson transitioned to MercyCare South in 2000, where he has been for the remainder of his career.

When Dr. Patterson joined MercyCare, urgent care was still an emerging model of care in Cedar Rapids. The urgent care model has evolved considerably since then, and Dr. Patterson has been instrumental in helping to shape urgent care in the Cedar Rapids area.

During his time with MercyCare, Dr. Patterson served as the medical director for all four MercyCare Urgent Care locations, providing exceptional leadership and expertise. His dedication and contributions to urgent care will continue to shape MercyCare’s urgent care clinics for years to come.

Dr. Patterson and his team recently celebrated this exciting milestone with a small party at MercyCare South. Dr. Patterson is looking forward to spending more time with his grandson, cheering on the Cubs, and doing online crossword puzzles with his mom (who keeps him on his toes!)

Thank you Dr. Patterson for choosing to serve for 33 years at MercyCare. Congratulations on your retirement!
