We had a special visitor yesterday and we are calling it puppy therapy! This was such a fun visit thank you Miss Lauren for bringing in Nala!  it definitely brought us some joy and helped us to relax before class!

I get asked often if I do brain mapping. The answer is no. I was trained using the Othmer Method which is symptom based neurofeedback.

A QEEG is a “snap shot” of the brain at that specific moment in time. However unless you do a new QEEG every time the QEEG you had done Tuesday may not hold true to what it is on Friday if you did Neurofeedback Tuesday. The founder of the Othmer Method has a saying “You Never Train The Same Brain Twice!” This is one reason why they stopped using QEEG, but instead do symptom based Neurofeedback.

Symptom based focuses on the client and what they need; however, if the client/guardian isn’t reporting symptoms whether they are negative or positive then the clinician will not know what to change which is one of the biggest limitations with the Othmer Method.

Schott Physical Therapy officially has a website! It was a lot of work and definitely a learning experience, but the site now includes information about the services provided, with plans to continue updating and expanding it in the near future.
