from my latest newsletter:
Reiki and "Me Too"
In the last two weeks, there's been a lot of attention on a huge story about an Ivy League university - which adds to a major story of international national scope that we've heard about for awhile. First, let's focus on celebrating truth coming out. Change cannot happen if situations continue to be swept aside. But next, we all know that story is not isolated. Sadly, there are many, many versions of that story in our world.
I've been practicing Reiki professionally for 17 years (doing energy work for 35), and have worked with hundreds of people. In that time, I have seen many clients who have repressed their memories of similar experiences. Or those who have, in fact, been able to receive counseling and support in their healing journey. Usually (not always), those scars remain in an energetic form in the body, mind, and spirit.
Reiki can help.
How? Reiki, a high-vibration energy that always works for your highest good, helps release stuck energies. Think of the sunshine beaming on a sand castle. All that hard-packed sand starts to loosen and break off when the healing warmth of the sun works on it. Reiki works at whatever pace you need it to -- a little at a time, or releasing big chunks. I am merely the facilitator. You, the recipient, are in the driver's seat. I bring other energy work into each session, as well. My toolbox has lots of gentle tools in it.
The whole point, however, is healing. Releasing. Filling that void with pure, loving, high vibration energy. And remember... what happens in my office stays in my office.
The main purpose of these major news stories is to seek justice and evoke change. I imagine a day when our earth never experiences any act of violence against another. I believe, tho, that a secondary purpose of these stories is to encourage healing. Healing the system, healing the individuals - one person at a time.
I'm here if you need my hands.
