This month, Long Island Select Healthcare celebrates a decade of caring for our community. Since 2016, we have grown to six locations across Suffolk County, but one thing has never changed: our commitment to compassionate, accessible healthcare for every patient we serve.

Dr. Khan is a family physician, healthcare executive, educator, and advocate who has dedicated her career to making healthcare more accessible, compassionate, and equitable. Today was a historic day for Long Island Select Healthcare.

We were proud to announce a $2.3 million grant from the New York State Office for People With Developmental Disabilities that will expand our Riverhead location and launch a brand new mobile healthcare unit, bringing integrated care directly to families across Long Island.

Thank you to Commissioner Willow Baer, the OPWDD team, the patient families who shared their stories, our clinical leadership, and every partner and staff member who stood with us this morning.

We're hiring a Clinical Liaison.

Long Island Select Healthcare is looking for a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Medical Assistant (MA) to join our Hauppauge team. In this role, you'll be the dedicated point of contact connecting group homes, families, and our care teams, making sure individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities get timely, coordinated care.

What you'll do: coordinate appointments and referrals, support care transitions, re-engage patients, and advocate across clinical and community systems.

What you'll need: LPN or MA certification, strong communication and organizational skills, and a valid NYS driver's license. eClinicalWorks experience and bilingual candidates a plus.

Pay: $26.00 to $36.00/hour

This Nurses Week, we're saying thank you to the nurses who show up every day for our patients and for each other.

From our exam rooms to our behavioral health programs to the homes we visit through care coordination, our nurses are the steady heartbeat of Long Island Select Healthcare. They listen. They advocate. They make every patient feel seen.

To every nurse on our team: thank you for caring for our community.

Telehealth keeps Community Health Center patients connected to care, even when life makes it hard to walk through the door.

Elizabeth Mastrianni, Nurse Practitioner at , a community health center network serving the Bronx, Harlem, and Queens, sees it every day. A parent juggling multiple kids. Patients working two or three jobs. People who would otherwise delay or skip care altogether.

Telehealth changes that. It brings care into the home, gives patients their time back, and opens the door to more complete, proactive care.

But right now, New York reimburses health centers for telehealth at only a fraction of in-person rates.
That limits how many patients they can reach.

We’ve seen what works. Now we need policy that keeps up.

Don’t shortchange telehealth! Support full payment for CHCs!
