June Solstice June 21, 2026
Twice a year, the Sun reaches its maximum extreme north and south of the equator. In June, the Sun reaches the northernmost point from the celestial equator on June 20 or 21. This year, it is on June 21 at 1:24 am PDT. This is the June Solstice (Solar Standstill) and also the point where the Sun reaches zero degrees of Cancer.

The astrological signs and intimately connected with the Solstice and Equinox points. The constellations add another major layer and the current June Solstice point is at the Galactic Extreme and above the hand of Orion. At every June Solstice, Orion holds the Sun in thier hand.

Being the season of Cancer and combined with Jupiter in Cancer, it really opens the floodgates for a more expansive connection with family, responsibilities, giving, providing safe space and nurturing energy from the heart.

In this season of Cancer, we can reach out with family (not just blood-relatives) to co-create, share and care for one another. The Sun joins Mercury and Jupiter (for about 9 days) bringing in more water to balance out the extra fire and air energy that is currently strong in our environment.

On the night of the 20th, the closest to the Solstice, Jupiter, Mercury and Venus will be visible in the early evening time. Jupiter and Mercury will be low on the horizon with Jupiter significanly brighter than Mercury. Venus has quickly moved away from Jupiter since the conjunction in Cancer on June 9 and is is very bright and getting brighter with each passing week.

On the morning of the Solstice (June 21), prior to sunrise Saturn and Mars will be visible in the early morning sky. Saturn is slightly brighter and higher in the sky while Mars is still fairly dim and low in the Eastern sky.

Venus-Pluto Opposition June 17, 2026
+ Moon Occults Venus!
On June 17, 2026, Venus moves into an opposition with Pluto at 05°07’ Leo (Venus)/Aquarius (Pluto) at 1:38 pm PDT. In addition, the Crescent Moon will occult Venus roughly at the same time. The conjunction between the Moon and Venus will occur at 05°06’ Leo at 1:28 pm PDT (10 minutes before the opposition between Venus and Pluto).

This Venus-Pluto opposition is actually a pre-echo of the Jupiter-Pluto opposition that takes place on July 20th in the center of the special outer planet alignment involving Jupiter, Pluto, Uranus, Neptune and Chiron. It means this Venus-Pluto opposition could provide some insights about what is unfolding in July and its aftermath.

The meaning of the individual Venus-Pluto opposition also involves the Moon and its activation in the context of the Venus synodic cycle (which ends Oct 30 2026). This connects us to the "Gate of Communication" as it opens up the 5th chakra within humanity. This is a rare moment to not only speak the deepest truth within but to express our life vision for what we want to co-create with the Divine Cosmos.

It is a highly transformational and innovative astrological aspect between these planets (including the Moon) to rebirth ourselves, giving ourselves permission to embody our power within and speak from a place of deep truth, facing up to our path and feel our feelings.

Another part of the meaning involves the strong feminine expression in powerful leadership, love and creative expression. Perhaps this will help stir up and inspire more of that energy to rise up in us all to be our own leader and for a few of us to lead humanity as a beacon for a healthier new era.

New Moon in Gemini on June 14, 2026
Our next New Moon takes place on June 14, 2026 at 7:54 pm at 24°03’ Gemini, which is near the June Solstice point (where the Sun would be on June 20/21).

Any New Moon is a good day for a reset and reflection of what we have experienced and/or accomplished. It is the start of a new lunation, a seeding point for the next 30 days. At each phase of the Moon, there are various qualities that we can attune to.

At this New Moon, the seeds of Gemini, the poet, bard, messenger and more get planted metaphorically. It is a time we can connect with our creative/imaginal energies and see the possibilities beyond any limits we've placed on our minds. It is a chance to free our minds from the trappings of patterns that keep us behind the walls that we forged within.

As added symbolism to this New Moon, we can reference the Sabian Symbol, which uses the degree of the zodiac to discover another layer of what we are looking at. We always add "1" to come up with the Sabian Symbol.

For this New Moon in Gemini, the Sabian Symbol, 25 Gemini is ”A Gardener Trimming Large Palm Trees”. keywords include: “Trimming off nonessentials to get to the bare reality. Caring for one’s possessions. Doing the work simply because it needs to be done. Getting rid of rubbish. Gardening and landscaping. Editing words., thoughts, emotions – superfluous things. Weeding out the unnecessary. Looking after cosmetic appearances. Tidying up. Tools. Trips to the dump ." (from The Sabian Oracle by Lynda Hill pg 85)

This Sabina Symbol can be interpreted as looking after what we need to take care of but also checking in to see if we are doing it because it is a pattern? Is it necessary? This New Moon is a check-in with ourselves in how we communicate with others in the words we use and the actions we take. How do the others feel?

Venus in Leo June 13
Venus enters the sign of Leo in June 13, 2026. After leaving the warm embrace of Jupiter in the evening sky, Venus is moving into a sign that will help us all shine brightly by bringing the energy of the radical, radiant vision carrier archetype alive.

Venus is opening the path for Jupiter to ingress into Leo beginning on June 29th.

Venus in Leo is all about shining brightly as an inspiration of the vision we all carry within. It is our inner leader. Leo teaches us about self-love, the kind of love that we feel within our soul as a creator in life and not in a narcissistic manner.

However, Venus in Leo can also bring out tendencies toward vanity and egoic expansion in those that already lean that way.

4 days after Venus enters Leo, Venus and the Moon will conjunct on June 17 is at 05°06’ Leo and while also in opposition with Pluto 05°07’ Leo during that conjunction. This will certainly be a transformational moment for humanity and may assist us in digging deep for for the radiant and raw truth of our collective path.

Uranus squares the Lunar Nodes on June 12, 2026
The advent of Uranus ingressing into Gemini back on April 25th has been a foreshadowing of this upcoming square to the Lunar Nodes at 02°42’ (Gemini/Pisces/Virgo).

Uranus has a square, conjunction and opposition with the Lunar Nodes every 3 ½ to 4 years. Each time there is a major aspect between the Lunar Nodes and Uranus can subject humanity to surprises that impact the course of our “destiny”, while showing us the relevance of that surprise by tying it to the past.

In this case, this is a square helping to reveal humanity's service to others and to spirit in general. Uranus is a planet of uncanny, unexpected and novel surprises that jump up out of "nowhere". In the sign of Gemini, Uranus may co-create other avenues of knowledge, learning and communication development that we couldn't forecast. In this square to the Nodes, it may show up as an inflection point in an unplanned direction.

We can inquire in this transit as to how we are adapting to the rapid shifts technologically but also in the mind. On a personal level, this can open us up to new knowledge that we never saw coming, especially so for those who have personal planets or points in the early degrees of Virgo, Gemini, Pisces and Sagittarius.

This moment (in this entire month of June) of the square may have some commentary upon the time we experienced the Uranus-NN conjunction back in July 2022 in the sign of Ta**us. Something about that is carrying on to this current time frame.

The square is more than just one day, it is about a month long that Uranus stays within a degree of the Lunar Nodes, so there is ample time to consider the impact this may have for humanity.

Venus and Jupiter light the Sky
I spent time with Venus and Jupiter last night in the linimal space of twilight as the light faded. There was a semi-oval glow from the WNW after sunset with the shining beacons of planets at the oval's edge.

There was a supportive and loving energy in the air as the brighter Venus shined brighter throughout the early night with Jupiter lending its light in an expansive manner.

Venus and Jupiter conjuncted at 25°46’ of Cancer earlier in the day (June 9) but were still very close by the evening time here on the West Coast of the US. This conjunction is typically one of the more beneficial conjunctions we can experience. Eris squared both of these planets, lending a hand to support the release of the supressed deeper truths that have a difficult time showing up.

But in this world of scattered priorities and distracted activities, it is important to reconnect with the sky and its relationhip with the Earth. As I stood in the backyard I wondered how many were paying attention to the incredible show in the twilight. I watched birds retreat to their nests for sleep while the bats began to come out to hunt as insects fluttered about here and there.

Thoughout this week into the weekend, Venus and Jupiter will still be prominent lights in the early evening. I hope many get to witness this and spend time with these cosmic spirit guides for humanity and more.

Moon-Saturn Conjuntion June 10, 2026
After the Big Show of Venus and Jupiter on June 9, the Crescent Moon conjuncts Saturn the morning of June 10 at 12°58’ Aries.

This conjunction is quite different from the Venus-Jupiter conjunction in Cancer. They do loosely square each other by sign, but Jupiter and Venus are quickly approaching the sign of Leo whereas Saturn is slowing down to go retrograde at the end of July.

This Moon-Saturn conjunction is about the ongoing expression of how Saturn is helping Aries get more focused on what needs to be built and what to defend. Saturn helps call out directives to show up for our core responsibilities to community and family and necessary education to support future generations.

This conjunction also activates the seeds that are encouraged to be planted to help co-create long-term civilization. At times, Saturn can feel like it is repressing, opressing and curtailing freedoms and creative output. But a healthy Saturn energy is can assist us in rooting our creative and practical knowledge into the core withn along with the Earth. Saturn can tether us to reality and to be up front and truthful with our core selves as well.

The Moon and Saturn are visible in the early morning sky and rise after 2:30am on the eastern horizon. Saturn will slowly make its way to the evening sky, but it will be another 2-3 months before it is really noticeable in the late evening sky. After the Moon, Saturn will be the brightest object in the east as no nearby bright stars will be mistaken for it. The star Fomalhaut will be almost as bright for some viewers but is more distant in the SE part of the sky.

Venus conjuncts Jupiter (and squares Eris) on June 9th - a special sight!
The conjunction will happen at 25°46’ Cancer 12:59 pm PDT and squares Eris at 25°48’ Aries on June 9, 2026.

Anytime the 2 traditional benefic planets conjunct is typically seen as a “good thing”. However, this year, the conjunction squares Eris in Aries within 2 minutes.

This conjunction symbolizes a flowering of the safe and compassionate space, supported strongly by the receptive feminine. The square to Eris may help to bring about a moment of a spirited voice to call out the truth around us and standing up for the goddess and the feminine.

It is a great time for romantic events, including weddings, dates and other special occasions. One could even take advantage of the conjunction even without a partner or simply being solo. Taking care and giving nurturing energy to ourselves is one powerful way to experience this conjunction.

But we do need to consider that there is a rawness to this aspect with Eris involved. There could be some things can come to the surface that may disturb/disrupt the "rose-colored" perspective and bring the deeper truth to our conscious selves within and throwing critical reality into our lives.

Venus and Jupiter are the 2 brightest planets in the sky. The night of June 9 will showcase these 2 planets and they will be dominating the area around them with their brilliant light. Venus will be slightly above and significantly brighter than Jupiter, which is slightly below Venus.

To the right of the conjunction, the twin stars of Pollux and Castor will also be faintly visible while Mercury will be below and closer to the WNW horizon and fainter than either Jupiter or Venus in magnitude.

Eris won't be visible as it is too far away to be seen without a powerful telescope. It will have already set by the time Venus and Jupiter show up to our eyes.

The last time we experienced a Venus-Jupiter conjunction was back on August 11, 2025 and the next time it happens will be over 14 months from now on August 25, 2027 at 6°33’ Virgo. There will be no Venus-Jupiter conjunction while Jupiter is in the sign of Leo.

Outer Planets and the Elements (Masculine/Feminine)
With the outer planets primarily in the elements of fire and air, a few astrologers subscribe to the belief that we’ve entered a period where the rise of the masculine (specifically men) is taking place, countering the previous movements of the feminine in decades past, including the MeToo movement in 2017-19.

While there is some evidence to support that, there appears to be a portion missing here. The biggest one, I feel, is that all people have some basic levels of fire and air within them (even if it is not prominent in the natal chart) AND we ALL have a masculine and feminine side within us. While the fire and air signs (which traditionally are defined as “masculine” in astrology), are highlighted by the outer planets at this time, it is also supporting the fire and air within women as well as men and other genders.

This means overall that it isn’t just men that are benefiting from the transition from earth and water elements to fire and air elements, but everyone else too.

The elements of fire and air together express the soul’s desire to go “up and out” from matter into the heavens through either the air of mind or the fire of spirit. All human beings, repressed, dormant or otherwise, have this desire to connect on some basic level with the Divine/Cosmos/Great Spirit, etc. Fire and Air elements are driven, to varying degrees and expressions are a strong part of that desire.

In addition, we are on the eve of the Centaur Chiron ingressing into the sign of Ta**us (June 19 – Sept 17) for the first time since the 1975-1984. Ta**us, as an Earth element sign deals with what we value in ourselves and the world around us. Earth signs are traditionally feminine signs and this Chiron transit will have a significant impact in the world. Mercury will spend over 2 months in the sign of Cancer, a water sign, which is also feminine traditionally.

It is important, I feel, to understand, that each person can work with these elements without the labels of masculine/feminine. Fire and Air signs may be more present, but Earth & Water are there too. All of us will feel the yin and yang within and around us.
