NOW HIRING: PENNSYLVANIA LICENSED MASSAGE THERAPISTS

Twisted Shamrock Studios & Spa is growing, and we’re looking for caring, dependable massage therapists to join our award-winning retro wellness team in Chadds Ford (directly on the PA/DE boarder of Rt. 202).

Part-time and full-time positions are available, with pay negotiable based on experience. Weekday afternoon and evening availability is preferred. Availability for at least two full weekends per month, including Saturday and Sunday, is required.

We offer a relaxed retro dress code, CPR, AED and First Aid training, mentoring from senior massage therapists, on-site CEU classes, and cross-training in assisted stretch, recovery and body care services. We also offer social media and personal branding training to help our providers grow.

If you want to keep learning, feel appreciated and be part of a supportive team that takes great care of its clients without taking itself too seriously, we would love to meet you.

An active Pennsylvania massage therapy license is required. Positions will close once we find the right people.

What are Frankie and Lori up to over there? 👀

Oh, nothing… just plotting the smoothest thing to hit Twisted Shamrock since frosted lip gloss, butterfly clips and low-rise jeans had us all making questionable decisions.

They’ve been behind the scenes putting the finishing touches on SMOOTH OPERATOR, our brand-new waxing membership and full-on late ’90s/Y2K throwback campaign.

Think glossy magazine covers. Cosmopolitan energy. 1999 attitude. And Brazilian waxing without the last-minute “OH CRAP, I need an appointment” panic.

Smooth Operator officially arrives after Labor Day.

We think we ALL need a little more CHILLAX in our lives…

Because apparently “running on caffeine, stress and one functioning nerve” is not actually a wellness plan.

CHILLAX started with a pretty simple idea: Breathe. Unplug. Release.

It’s for those days when your shoulders are basically earrings, your brain has 47 tabs open, everybody needs something from you and you would very much like everyone to… respectfully… stop.

And now we’re bringing that Twisted Shamrock feeling HOME.

Today we’re celebrating another absolute Twisted Shamrock staff and client favorite, the incomparable Tim Curry.

And seriously, where do you even start with Tim Curry?

Was it trying to figure out who did it, where they did it and with what weapon while watching Clue for the 4,000th time?

Was it being permanently scarred by Pennywise in IT and developing a completely reasonable lifelong distrust of storm drains?

Maybe it was watching him torment Kevin McCallister as the wonderfully suspicious Mr. Hector in Home Alone 2.

Or maybe it was Annie, Legend, Muppet Treasure Island, The Three Musketeers, FernGully and a career full of characters that somehow managed to be hilarious, creepy, theatrical, completely over the top and unmistakably Tim Curry.

But around here, there is one role that will always reign supreme…

Dr. Frank-N-Furter.

Because when you run a retro spa, there are certain things that are basically required by law, and apparently The Rocky Horror Picture Show is one of them.

So today at Twisted Shamrock Studios & Spa, the TV is on, we’re celebrating another one of the people who made the movies we grew up with so damn memorable, and at some point we are absolutely going to be doing the Time Warp again.

Thank you, Tim Curry, for the laughs, the nightmares, the mystery, the absolute weirdness and decades of unforgettable characters.

Today we’re remembering the one and only Dolly Parton. 🤍

Dolly was one of those rare people who seemed to belong to everyone. Her music crossed generations, backgrounds and boundaries, and somehow brought people together. She made us laugh, made us sing, made us feel something and always reminded us that you could be completely yourself and still lead with kindness.

She has always been an all-time favorite of our staff and so many of our clients at Twisted Shamrock, so this one feels a little personal.

Today we have Rockstar spinning in the spa, remembering Dolly one of the ways we know best. As fans. With her music playing loud and a whole lot of gratitude for everything she gave us.

Rest easy, Dolly. Thank you for the music, the laughs, the memories and for always being unapologetically you. There will never be another quite like you. 🤍

FRANKIE EXPLAINS IT ALL: Exfoliation & Waxing Edition

Okay, now that Frankie has officially explained why exfoliation matters, here’s the part where I tell you to actually book the wax.

And HERE IT IS! Our segment from Positively Philly on PHL17!

We had way too much fun being back in the studio talking about something we deal with every day at Twisted Shamrock Studios & Spa: tight necks, angry shoulders, cranky backs and simple ways to help your body move and feel better.

This time we tackled back-to-school backpack posture and easy stretches because apparently kids are still carrying backpacks like they’re leaving for a six-month expedition.

A huge thank you to everyone at Positively Philly and PHL17 for inviting us back, making us feel so welcome and giving this little retro wellness spa from Chadds Ford the opportunity to share what we love with the Philly area. We are incredibly grateful, and we’re already looking forward to the next opportunity!
